Passed my SHRM-CP Exam using these tests!
I used this test book along with the practice questions on SHRM’s site to practice... passed my exam the first time! Questions on the test are harder than in this book. Plus my Exam 1 and Exam 3 were identical. But this book still helped me prepare. I liked how there were very specific reasons given for each question’s right and wrong answers. Helpful and I would recommend!

I took my SHRM-CP exam last August and passed the first time. I was reading the Sandra Read book and some other materials I found from blogs where people discussed how they passed. I had planned about 1 1/2 months to study and I scheduled my exam for the last date possible so that I would have a hard deadline, as I'm a procrastinator. Then, I tore a muscle in my back and was in horrible pain for over one month before my exam. I couldn't sit up and I was worried I wouldn't be able to sit 3 hours to test. I was in so much pain, I couldn't concentrate to study. I recovered one week prior to my exam. I took a practice quiz on the shrm website and realized I was not going to pass. So, three days before my exam I enrolled on the Mometrix site for about $40. I found the website on the inside cover of this book. I took all 6 of their practice quizzes which are 3 hours apiece, I think. I took them and then went through my wrong answers and studied the correct answers. I started out with 53% and by the fifth exam I noticed that I knew how to answer the questions. The questions on the shrm-cp are so similar that if you can learn the practice exams on the Mometrix site, you won't need books or any other material. That's really all it took, for me at least. Essentially, the 3 days on the Mometrix site is all the real studying I did, though I would recommend a few extra days, as I was tearing my hair out cramming.

Very Good and Thorough Study Guide
I felt the study guide was very helpful. It was easy to read. The questions related to real life HR situations and gave insightful explanations for the answers. I also liked that wrong answers were explained why they were wrong.

The answers are in the book. May not seem like it, but it's all there!
