Good fit for the job
The Dewalt wire cup brush worked great for cleaning the stainless steel outdoor grill grates. Good fit for the task at hand. Used it with my small Dewalt grinder.

Great Brush
There are a few bad reviews out there for this guy.The wires fly out... True. I've never used a wire wheel or cup brush that this was not true. Better products hold the wires better but still let them go. Wear appropriate gear. This cup brush holds them well. I am very satisfied with the product. The wires break off... Also potentially true. I have destroyed a cup brush in very short order. I was using it incorrectly. If you push with too much pressure, you force the bristles around corners, or you sling the bristles into narrow sharp edges, anything that sharply bends the bristles as they are rotating, of course they are going to break off fairly quickly. Angle grinders are generally spinning them above 10,000 RPM.The knotted cup brush works better... Depends on what you are doing and what you are needing. The knotted cup brush has much thicker bristles. If you are removing paint/rust, yep it will do it faster. It may also remove some metal under the paint however. They are very aggressive. If you are pushing with lots of pressure or flexing bristles around corners, they will survive the abuse better than the finer bristles.I have and use both styles of cup brush for differing applications. I like them both. I use the finer bristle brushes more often. Usually for removing metal scale, paint, rust, etc.

Better Than Average
I've been using these brushes to strip the paint off a large deck. They're used with an angle grinder rated at 10,000 rpm. Yes, during use they do shed wires at high velocity, as will any similar product, so full protective clothing and eyewear is a no-brainer. However, I find that they shed at a slower rate and the brushes last longer than other similar products (lookin' at you, Forney). Good product, minus a star because of a 25% price jump in a week.

Runs great on my grinder
Solid wire cup. Doesn’t throw the wires out nearly as bad as some of the others.

Scrub A Dub Dub
I love this thing. It is sturdy, aggressive, and works perfectly. I purchased an adapter to make it fit my Makita (smaller arbor), and it fits nicely in the 4" opening that normally hosts cutoff blades. One thing, it can be a little hard to control around edges, and safety goggles are an ABSOLUTE MUST!July 2013 update - I think I would downgrade this to **** at this point. I am finding that although running it at less than the maximum RPM stamped onto the body of the brush, it is constantly throwing off little wires. It sends them everywhere, and they are extremely dangerous. At first I thought it did this only when edges were encountered, but now I'm thinking it throws wires even when just knocking paint or mill scale, for example, off of a flat surface. I still like the product, but I no longer think it's great.

Does not fit any UK dewalt tools
Didn't realise this was a USA product and in imperial sizes, no UK Dewalt tools will except this item.
User
Bien,
Se desgasta algo rápido, pero parece normal
User
Works great
Works great to remove paint/grime on surface before spray painting them.
User
Regular
Regular, esperaba un poco más del producto, es un poco inestable al momento de limpiar.
User
Great price, decent quality
Pleasantly surprised with the price compared to the big box stores. Wires do fly off so make sure you wear eye protection. Otherwise good value and quality for the money spent.
