Works well but packing box could improve
Hdd works well as expected. Loosely packed, could damage the hard drive.

Nice product....I used it for My NAS Synology bay NAS DiskStation (Diskless) 2-bay; 2GB DDR4 DS218. Nice speed and was delivered on time.

3 Days of use seems fine. If you gonna have it as one drive - It's not a good purchase as the cache is 64MB Better get barracuda or WD BLUE( Low Failure Rate) if your not gonna use raid or primo cache speeds can get up to 200MB reads and 188MB writes Update - 9 months later Used it as a network drive Really good love it

Multiple faulty drives
The first Ironwolf 4TB I ordered had bad sectors on arrival. Fortunately, Amazon took it back. The second one I got developed bad sectors after two months -- so Amazon no longer covers it, and it's under Seagate warranty. However, Seagate wants me to ship it to The Netherlands at my own cost. That's 315 dhs. For a drive I can get brand new for 470 dhs now. Stay away. Effectively, there is NO warranty on these drives. And I've had 2 of them fail so far within 2 months.

Two drives failed after one year of usage
Even with very limited usage and drives kept in auto sleep mode to maximize its life. Drives failed and very poor support from Seagate, no way to direct communicate with seller (kingdisk-store), I asked seller via product question section about warranty but not replying. the only savior could be amazon, I am waiting for my disk to be returned.

Ho acquistato questo Seagate IronWolf da 4TB per il mio NAS domestico e sono davvero soddisfatto. È molto affidabile, progettato per funzionare senza interruzioni e gestire carichi di lavoro continui. Le prestazioni sono ottime, con velocità di trasferimento costanti e una buona gestione dei dati in RAID. Inoltre, è molto silenzioso durante l’uso, cosa che apprezzo molto soprattutto perché il NAS è in casa. La capacità di 4TB offre ampio spazio per backup e archiviazione di file multimediali. Nel complesso, un prodotto di qualità che consiglio a chi cerca un hard disk robusto e performante per il proprio sistema di archiviazione.

Ik heb op 4 mei 2025 via Amazon een Seagate IronWolf 8TB harde schijf gekocht bij Express IT - Technologies. De schijf is sinds december 2025 volledig defect, hij wordt op geen enkele computer meer herkend. Het product valt nog binnen de garantietermijn. Op 24 januari 2026 heb ik contact opgenomen met het verzoek om vervanging of terugbetaling. De verkoper reageerde zonder concrete oplossing. Op hun verzoek heb ik via Amazon een retour geopend — inmiddels zelfs twee keer — maar daar wordt niet inhoudelijk op gereageerd. Op 13 februari 2026 ontving ik nog een bericht, maar daarna is het opnieuw volledig stil gebleven. Geen retourlabel, geen vervanging, geen terugbetaling. Zeer teleurstellende service en geen betrouwbare garantieafhandeling.

The harddisk works great. I use it for security so it is important that it makes no noise.
