It is just one month and too early to give a review. I was using a 2GH one and was always facing connection issues. I have been asked by the internet provider to upgrade to 5GH. It is working fine so far without any issues, 'touch wood".

My pc and accessories knowledge isn't great so was glad to find this product works right out of the box. Plugged the switch into my ethernet connection and then all my devices into the switch, everything worked without problems and at great speeds.

Design und Verarbeitung Der Switch kommt mit einem soliden Metallgehäuse daher, das nicht nur robust ist, sondern auch Wärme effektiv ableitet. Besonders gefällt mir das lüfterlose Design: absolut lautlos, was in Arbeits- oder Wohnräumen wirklich angenehm ist. Auch optisch wirkt der Switch mit seinem schlichten Schwarz sehr hochwertig. Einrichtung und Bedienung Die Installation ist super einfach. Man muss nichts konfigurieren – einfach anschließen, und alles läuft. Geräte werden automatisch erkannt, was auch für Technik-Laien ein riesiger Pluspunkt ist. Leistung und Funktionen Der Switch liefert, was er verspricht. Die Datenübertragungen sind schnell und zuverlässig, selbst bei intensiver Nutzung. Mit bis zu 2000 Mbit/s pro Port ist genug Leistung für Streaming, Gaming oder große Dateien vorhanden. Gut finde ich auch, dass der Switch energieeffizient arbeitet. Was fehlt, sind allerdings erweiterte Funktionen wie VLAN oder Link Aggregation. Für ein einfaches Heimnetzwerk ist das aber kein Problem. Wer IPTV oder Multicast nutzen möchte, sollte darauf achten, die richtige Hardware-Revision (ab C6) zu kaufen. Anwendungsbereiche Mit acht Ports ist der Switch für die meisten Anwendungen ausreichend. Egal ob Computer, Smart-TV oder NAS – alles läuft problemlos. Falls man mehrere Geräte anschließen möchte, empfehle ich direkt zu einem 8-Port-Modell zu greifen, da die kleineren Varianten oft schnell an ihre Grenzen kommen. Fazit Der D-Link DGS-108 ist ein solider, leiser und einfach zu bedienender Switch, der perfekt für Heim- oder kleinere Büronetzwerke geeignet ist. I had issues with wi-fi receptions in part of my house so I bought a newer/faster TP-Link router but I had issues with an older D-Link & Linksys router in different parts of the house even though I had hardwired to the TP-Link with Cat5e cables. The TP-Link was blocking internet access to the older routers and the app wouldn't give me options on how to troubleshoot/release the ports. I used this switch somewhat different than the instructions indicated. Instead of going from the Satellite modem to the TP-Link router, I went from the Satellite modem to this 8 port unmanaged D-Link switch, then from the switch to the TP-Link router, and tied the D-Link and Linksys directly to the D-Link switch, and all my issues went away. I now have wi-fi everywhere without issue, at excellent speeds for all my devices. It was a cheap and easy fix. My only negative comment is that the nice metal case should have the rubber feet pre-installed, and the power cable should be a meter longer, in my opinion.
