Good size, Good price
Definitely recommended for the price range. I bought this monitor because I wanted to replace the 19" Dell I've used for years and so far it's a great upgrade. I work with photography and video at an amateur level and am an IT consultant professionally - this monitor is exactly what I was looking for - inexpensive, decent quality.Yes, there is a slight black border on the screen, but that's to be expected, and I haven't found a monitor of this size in this price range that didn't have some type of screen border. And, as stated in other reviews the stand isn't the best, and might shake a bit from vibrations if you're not using a sturdy table - use a sturdy table and it solves the problem.Bright, good color, HDMI, DVI, VGA/DE-15I'm sure there are people who bought this monitor and hate it. Don't buy a monitor for under $200 and expect $700 quality. This screen probably wouldn't cut it in a pro photography shop, and if that's what you're looking for make a purchase that makes sense for your profession. If you're like me and just need an upgrade from the smaller screen in your home office with quality that's good enough for your artistic hobbies then this is the monitor for you.

Two issues
Just hooked this up and my initial reviews are mostly positive. The color is good; I calibrated the monitor using a Datacolor Spyder 3 Pro and now it looks good. The brightness was cranked all the way up out of the box which is no good for photo editing. Blacks seem deep and rich and greys are accurate and not too cool (after calibrating). The stand takes up very little desk space and seems stable enough; the monitor does rock a little but I have a stable desk... if you don't, it may be an issue.I have two issues though. The mount is a little too tall for my taste and this is not adjustable. I find myself looking up at the monitor a bit but I think I'll get used to this as my last monitor was very low to the desk. The next gripe is a bit more of an issue for me and the primary reason behind the three star rating. The picture area of the monitor does not extend all the way to the bezel and it annoys the crap out of me. It seems like something is wrong with the monitor as there is a 1/4" border between the picture area and the bezel. I don't know if this is normal or if I have a faulty monitor but I take issue with this.A D-sub cable was included; not DVI which was disappointing. I ended up using HDMI but I think this monitor should definitely come with a DVI cable.EDIT : I am dropping my review to one star. I am an amateur radio operator and upon firing up my radio, I noticed a pretty severe amount of wideband RF noise. See the screenshot... I held an antenna to the screen, turned it off for a few seconds and then turned it back on. Its definitely the screen and wasn't there with my 20" walmart special that this screen replaced. I have notified LG of the issue but I believe this screen is in violation of FCC Part 15(b). I will update again if LG comes through with a solution but if not, I will be sending this monitor back.

It's a Keeper!!
It's been a couple of weeks since we started to use the LG and we are still in the learning curve with all of the features. So far, it a real winner. Going from a 26" Samsung T260 to the 27" LG is not much change in screen size area. But the LG has a wider screen and about the same height as the Samsung. The colors are vivid and the print is very clear. I have noticed that when the monitor goes into sleep mode, it wakes up much faster than the Samsung. The LG comes with a DVI to DVI cable with directions to use only this cable with this monitor. However, my HP computer had a HDMI port and no DVI port. What I did find strange was that I had purchased a new HDMI to DVI cable for the LG. There was no way it was going to fit the LG monitor. So, I used the HDMI to DVI cable from the Samsung and it works fine. But, the new cable easily fit onto the DVI port of the Samsung monitor. The point is, if you use other than the supplied cable and it will not seat into the LG monitor DVI port, don't force it. Get another cable.

Little bit dated, but who really needs a 4K monitor?
I bought the 32" inch version of this monitor from Fry's Electronics. It was nice, but too big. After two months of buying and returning monitors from Fry's, Best Buy and Office Depot out of physical convienience, I finally just bought this on Amazon. It works great, just the right size and I love the onscreen controlls. The stand is widespread and evening distributes weight on my monitor stand. The screen does need color calibration like all monitors. If you work with photography or any graphics, this should be no concern because any professional should have color calibration technology like ColorMunki. The only bump in the road is that the CD with the drivers does not autoboot on Windows10. You have to go to the website and manually install the drivers. It takes like 20-30 minutes. Little bit of hassle but this is a wonderful product.

Fabulous!
Ingenious! I can easily view up to 4 things at once. You get to choose the layout. 2 large side by side or two on one side and one large or all 4 with equal portions. And it is so simple to change the layout. It comes with software that you install. There is a desktop icon that you just open up and make your changes one, two, three. The colors on the monitor are bright and true.If you are looking to replace two monitors on your desktop, (like I was) or you love to open up many windows and work side by side, this is the monitor for you. Excellent value!

Aside from this it is a very good, easy to read
Bought this for the screen splitter feature to eliminate one monitor on my desk. The splitter feature does NOT work on linux machines. There are a number of ways the screen can be divided using linux just not with the software from the manufacturer. Aside from this it is a very good, easy to read, inexpensive monitor and I'm keeping it. BTW as a caution to MS Windows users there were issues using the splitting feature as it changes some UAC settings. This may be fixed with new downloaded software.

Price to performance really good!
The monitor is really nice, overall price to performance is very nice. The monitor is easy to setup and it works really great with the MBP. Colors are not super crisp but with calibration, the screen can look great. The size allows for multiple documents to be viewed and worked on the same time. Overall, pretty good monitor.

Slit functionality doesn't work when used as an extended display
The monitor works perfect for me. But I found the split function only works when I connect to PC. It won't work if I use it as an extended display on my laptop, which is a bit disappointed. But I feel like even if I have the functionality available, it's not very useful to me. Overall, it's good!

It is a good product
I use this mainly for photo editing and general work. The colour is very good. Although I did not use screen split feature, I often make two window side by side for my work which is basically equivalent as 2 split. If I use split feature, I may only split it to 2 screens. I am satisfied with this purchase so far.

Great, clear picture.
With my laptop, I cannot go over 1920x1080, so it is a bit big. At that resolution, over 24" is overkill. Note that the stand is not super solid, if your table moves at all, that monitor will shake.

Love this monitor!
After years of declaring my laptop “good enough”, I finally cracked and bought myself a monitor. It has made working from home a whole new experience.I am quite light sensitive, and the Reader settings make it possible for me to work comfortably (even when I work later than I should).
