best as a preventative than a healer
I got this to prevent my skin condition from getting worse.the skin around my cuticles and fingertips cracks. If I use this before the cracks are deep enough to bleed then it's helpful in preventing my fingers from getting worse.I use glysomed (greasy but effective) or Camille Beckman hand cream (vanilla. creamy & non greasy ) to keep my hands & fingers from getting to the point of needing Gloves in a bottle, but when your hands are in water alot or get dry for environmental or hormonal reasons, the gloves in the bottle really helps when you can't wear rubber gloves for protection !

The holy grail of protective hand lotion.
Ok, this may sound like a paid review. It's not. I have an awful time once the weather starts to get colder with dry, cracked hands. I paint and also play drums. Both of those things wreak havoc on the hands. This stuff does exactly what it says. It truly protects, but you won't notice it on. It goes on and seems to absorb quickly. You don't notice the film until you wash your hands and it comes off, and you quickly want to put on a new coat if you are still need it on. Between this and Excipial 10% Urea Healing lotion, I have for the first time in my life kept my hands from becoming painfully cracked by the end of November. I have used all kinds of creams etc but usually find they just dry me out. This stuff is a little expensive, but seriously worth it especially if you work with your hands and/or get substances on them that dries them out. I wish I had tried this years ago. Pick up the Excipial as well and you'll be good to go until the warmth returns, and hey that will probably be February the way things are going in the atmosphere.

Finally a Hand Lotion that works
My hands are so dry, I am in water washing my hands all the time. Plus I crochet a lot and it seems like especially my index finger and thumb get extremely dry and the skin will split close to the nail. My sister told me about this product and I can tell you it really works. If you're not sure buy a small bottle/tube and I promise you will be back to purchase more. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for such a great product!

Only thing that has helped prevent finger splits and cracks
I have used gloves in a bottle for a few years now. I live where the winters are very cold and the air is extremely dry. I have tried virtually all of the drug store type hand creams on the market with no real improvement. This is the first product that actually helps to prevent the cracking and splitting on my fingers. I do still rarely get a small split on one of my fingers but as long as I apply the product throughout the day it will heal. During the winter I do use it often, pretty much every 3 or 4 hours. During the summer I can get away with using it less often. The other things I like about this product is that once you rub it in it is not at all greasy and it does not have any noticeable odor.

Works!
My early usage review: Oily when first applied....as others mentioned, I gave it a few minutes to soak in- LET IT DRY. Don't keep 'rubbing it in' or it seems to break the 'coating' and get greasier. Feels like subtle barrier when dry. I'm an artist- oil painter. Did the job of easy hand clean up and seems to protect my skin from drying out from solvent. (Gamsol) Note: I'm not a super messy painter. Have used it 6 times and so far pleased!

Best Lotion on the market
Let me just say I was a little bit apprehensive when someone recommended this product to me about a month ago.. let me just say after 14 days my hands look and feel better than they have in over a year. I work in a restaurant and my hands take a beating. This stuff is hands down the best on the market

I have tried a lot of different lotions for my hand. It cracks and bleeds between the ring finger and the middle finger. Gloves in A Bottle is the only lotion that helps it heal. I've used liquid band-aid, hydrocortisone, triple antibiotic cream, and numerous hand lotions. Gloves in A Bottle is worth the money.

Keeps my hands from cracking
Gloves in the Bottle has prevented my hands from cracking. My hands are in a lot of water and cleaners daily and I do not like wearing gloves. I will apply more than once a day depending on how much my hands are in need. But not as often as regular lotions. I have tried numerous lotions that did not help. The price is a bit high but I think it is worth it.

Great Hand Protection
This is a great protection for your hands. It goes on very smoothly, dries quickly and is not sticky and has virtually no scent. I apply it before I leave the house to go shopping as it protects my hands from drying out or from getting reactions to some of the harsh hand sanitizers that the stores require you to use before entering.
