These are real slate, and 99.99% pure slate. Jet black color with virtually no marbling. I bought all three sizes and am VERY pleased with all. Washing is recommended but scrubbing is not really necessary. They look really beautiful in a freshwater fish aquarium. The shapes are varied as expected, but perfect and natural. Unless you have unlimited time to search for less expensive sources and options, these are worth the expense.

I bought this for my bearded dragon he loves this! They are a good size not too big or small and I love the color! Very easy to clean as well I just run them through water and a bit of soap. The only thing I did notice is they kinda chip easily.

The stone is nice and fit perfectly for my aqua scape, just make sure you wash them before placing them in a tank with live fish as they do come a bit dusty. I put mines in a bag of water for a hour or 2. Overall pretty nice

This slate is a perfect addition to any aquarium. I used the slate to hide a bubble want at the rear of my aquarium, but it has so many potential uses.
