There is the tutorial which is 1st case, and 5 other initial cases. 1 case is 3 parts. There are 2 additional cases that you can buy now with 1 more coming out this yr and at least 2 more next yr and 1 box add on expected in 2019

Are the cases replayable or are they one-and-done like most escape room board games?

Yes! you can replay these games if you don’t look at the solution. After you answer the questions for solving the case you get scored on what you got right and what you got wrong. I try to go back and resolve the case until I get them all correct. If you read the solution then you will know unless you forget later down the road.

Can you quit the game then come back to it later?

You can leave the game but the save point, when I tried it, was the end game Q/A to solve.

Does each player need their mobile phone to have the app installed or can it be played with a single mobile phone passed around?

It only requires a single device, but if you want to play on a tablet or iPad for a larger screen, you can connect a phone to it in order to utilize VR mode. You can then use the tablet for the game and the phone for viewing scenes while the app keeps track of everything for you.
