Amazing upgrade from Soundcore 1 & 2, perfect if you don't need AUX/3.5mm
TL;DR: - No aux - USB-C charging - Noticeably improved sound compared to gen 1 and gen 2 - much shorter delay in audio to video. No delay when connected to my Google TV Streamer 4k - Easily worth the price point in my opinion I've owned multiple Soundcore 1's and a couple of Soundcore 2's. One of my Soundcore 2's died on me after several years of service (first Soundcore to ever die on me) so I decided to give the Soundcore 3 a try. First of all, I messed up when I ordered this speaker (but I'm glad I did). I assumed this had an Aux port, but it doesn't. That's on me. This wasn't falsely advertised as having one, I had just made the assumption it would because the versions before had them. Unfortunately, what I originally needed it for required an aux jack. Thankfully, I own multiple Soundcores and all the rest have Aux jacks. Most of my Soundcores are driving audio for screens. This is why Aux was so important to me. Bluetooth audio typically has a 1 or 2 second delay. So I tried to find where I could make this work with Bluetooth. I have a Soundcore 1 hooked up to a projector that's being driven by a Google TV Streamer 4K. I know Google's streaming devices are usually pretty good at calculating delay with bluetooth speakers, so I connected the Soundcore 3 to the Google TV Streamer 4k (Not the projector) and it worked beautifully. IF there was ANY delay, it wasn't noticeable to my family and I. Pairing with bluetooth is easy as it was with the previous models: hold down the bluetooth button for a couple of seconds and the speaker will chime and the bluetooth light will flash, indicating it's ready to pair. There is a noticeable improvement to the sound with the Soundcore 3. The sound is clear, crisp, and the bass doesn't drown out the treble or mid. Controls are Simple and should be familiar to anyone who already owns a Soundcore 1 or 2. The middle button is the soundcore logo. It's replaced the play button, but does the same and also mimics many of the classic controls that wireless earbuds have. Example: 1 tap - pause/play. 2 taps - forward a song. 3 taps - restart / previous song The volume buttons are mid left and mid right where they've been on all models. The front has a new design compared to the 1 and 2. It has a very similar body to the soundcore 2 with a matte rubber like finish. It is slightly wider or "deeper" than the soundcore 2 front to back, but is similar in height, length and weight. The USB-C port is an awesome upgrade in my opinion. USB-C can charge devices MUCH faster than micro-USB, so if your device is dead and you need a charge, it can hit max battery a lot faster. VERY happy that I accidentally purchased this. I also tested it on a device that's not friendly with bluetooth delay sync, The delay was noticeable but CONSIDERABLY shorter compared to the Soundcore 1 and 2. I can't wait to start bringing this out by the pool this summer to play music for my family and guests.

Whole house wireless music.
I purchased 3 of these about a year ago. They are great for good quality ambient music throughout my home. They don’t really get “party” loud but they are definitely loud enough. I usually keep the volume at half and it’s almost too loud as background music. I have adjusted the equalizer to get the sound just right. They have an app where you can boost the bass. It is easy to pair them together. They connect like any other Bluetooth. The charge lasts but I don’t like to plug and unplug them in. So I just keep them hooked up. Sometimes I hear distortion if I bring my phone close to one of the speakers. Like if I charge my phone near the speaker I hear some fuzz. But it goes away if you move the phone away. I’m considering buying a couple more. I have had other family members who have bought a few based on hearing them in my house.

Highly recommend
Worth for the price. For me this is enough sound quality to listen to songs when I'm in my room. Speaker is heavy and rigid (0.82lb/370 g) Easy to connect and can charge using USB-C, which is not found in previous ANKER SOUNDCORE 2.

Honest audio reproduction that exceeds price-based expectations
I've worked as audio engineers for a few different bands, and have some very high end audio equipment at home, so I'm very particular about sound. For what this device is, and for what it costs, I find it to be quite enjoyable and a good value. The audio quality seems good enough to reveal Bluetooth and YT compression. It needs EQ adjustment which is done via an app. It's a little tricky because the EQ slider "frequencies" work a little different than most other 9-band equalizers; you basically have to forget any preconceived assumptions about what the shape should look like. Put on a song that you know extremely well, and that has a wide tonal range, and take your time adjusting the sliders. For me this resulted in very acceptable results, from low piano and bass notes to sparkling and airy cymbal decay. I took off one star because bluetooth has a slight delay, and the Soundcore 2 had the aux jack which is missing from this unit. The bluetooth connecting is very fast which is nice, there's just the slightest audio lag when watching videos. Some may not notice.

Best purchase I've made in years !
Whoa! The sound carries throughout the house even without turning the volume up high. I downloaded a music app and it links up pronto. The sound is incredible! Such a small item brings any music you feel like listening to anywhere you go. House, basement, garage, patio, anywhere. As long as you link it to your phone, which is a very easy process. And I'm older and not tech savvy. You can choose the type of music you want, or ask it to randomize, or choose a specific artist. Piano music in the background while you read or something with a beat to clean house by. The sky is the limit and the sound is insane.

Big sound from a small speaker. Amazing battery life.
This thing has room filling sound from a small speaker. Play with the apps equalizer for even better sound. Amazingly long battery life. Better than my jbl flip 5.

Terrific sound
Great sound, great price. I love my 6 year old Anker speaker so I jumped at the Amazon sale of Soundcore 3. The ability to load equalizer settings with the app really boosted the sound quality to music from an iphone. Since I use it poolside the IPX7 is a big plus. I look forward to buying at least 1 more to try party cast.

Why buy anything more expensive?
I own a soundcore 2 and 3 now. It’s a nice little upgrade over the 2. Not as noticeable at first but the mids and highs are more clear and the lows are more pronounced and have some thump with the added open backing. Really durable finish, amazing sound quality I usually use 50% to 75% and it’s perfect. Compared to the 2 you can play it quieter and get the same volume. Also like the 2, you can modify this ones eq. I will never buy a more expensive speaker than a soundcore line. I’m sold.

Piacevolissima sorpresa!
