And The Battlelines Are Being Drawn
The Index series is approaching WWIII with each passing novel, and in this book, we finally get to see actual countries gearing up. With a recent terrorist attack on the Eurotunnel, an underwater train tunnel connecting England and France, certain nations face an impending economic crisis. And with pressure from behind the scenes egging them on, these nations are pointing fingers and threatening repercussions. Without spoiling too much, let's just say the situation is going to spiral even further out of hand and that this is the first of a two-parter so don't expect a satisfactory ending just yet. There are a few particularly good aspects of this book I want to praise it for. First, there is a mini-story in the book about an airplane hijacking which, though I wouldn't call it necessary, was intense, well-executed and very entertaining. Second, in this book we finally get a good look at the inner workings of the English Puritan Church, an organization which thus far we have really only heard exposition about or seen through the eyes of Necessarius. Thirdly,... um,... (How do I put this?) Let's just say that things escalated past Aqua of the Back in book 16 quicker than I expected and in a way I hadn't anticipated.EDIT: Just yesterday, after watching the new dubbed episode of Index III, I realized something about this story I didn't notice before. The first story in this book (about the Skybus 365 incident)--what I initially thought wasn't really necessary--actually provides Touma with some character development. This is extremely significant as I had gotten so used to Touma not getting character development that I had given up trying to sympathize with him. Over the past 24 hours, I've gone over and over this story in my mind and connected the dots to previous points in the series. As a result, I feel like I finally Touma as a character rather than a plot device. Kudos to the author for providing Touma's development at last and in such a way that you need to really pay attention to notice and understand it.

Great but the cover came in bent
It came with a bent cover I really don’t like that but every thing else it great I’m giving it one star because I wanted a book without a bent cover It ruined the experience.
