I bought this cable for my Macbook after it's original charging cable was damaged. I wanted a cable with a decent length so that I didn't have to use an extension cable in one room in my house and a cable strong enough that I wasn't going to have to purchase another one very soon afterwards!I have to say I'm very impressed with this cable. The connections are metal and feel well constructed. They feel and look as if they will last a long time. The actual cable is within braided cotton and again, it feels like this isn't going to wear for a long time.I would recommend this cable over any that Apple sell at their inflated prices. **UPDATE** BLEW UP My Charger!Ordered the USB C to USB C gold 3m cable use with my 2016 MacBook.The cable is so heavy that it constantly sat at an angle, so much so i feared it would break my connection in the MacBook. Soon though I came to realise that the biggest problem is that the cable was faulty and ended up creating a surge that completely fried my MacBook USB C wall adapter and I had to shell out another £30 to replace it.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

We use this to charge a macbook from across the room from the official USB charger. It works perfectly with no warnings, so it must be MFA configured! The braiding is lovely and it works well to ensure its tangle free and strong. And the colour works great with the gold mac!

This cable looks good, but it just doesn't last. I've only had it a few months, it's not frayed or been abused in any way, but it failed today... disappointing, to say the least for £10.

Seemed lovely but eventually the braiding frayed and the whole thing just came to pieces at the joint. I was given a replacement, which has also failed after 9 months. Poor quality.
