Worth the while to install. Performance upgrade from the original spider!
Did the job for my 280,000 mile Vortec. Runs better than it ever has. Had a dead miss on #5 cylinder. Replaced the OE spider with this one. Takes a little bit to form these in to the injector holes in the manifold and the old bracket was fine for holding the cannon plug. I didn't have to replace that one but the kit does come with it and all the upper intake plenum gaskets needed to replace the spider. Pretty simple replacement if one references the You Tube videos first to gain an idea what you are replacing. The side of the cannon plug where the tubing is fed from has the cylinder number marked on the sides of it so knowing which injector goes where has been simplified. They push in fairly snug in the holes and the fuel leakage problem the OE spiders seem to have occasionally appears to be fixed by this design. I'll be buying this again for another Vortec that I have that still has the old design...and has leaked before! Power and starting ability is improved. Pulls through each gear to the shift point better than it has ever done. Smoother idle achieved.

Better Than Factory Original
I bought this to replace the CSFI "spider assembly" that was the original factory installed part. (Truck is 97 GMC Sierra and had 193K miles on the original part). I have owned the vehicle since it was new. Some people are having problems with the original poppet style CSFI injectors which either leak or get clogged. This part is the GM replacement for California vehicles due to gasoline additives causing issues,(misfires, rough idle). My fuel pressure regulator was leaking and I believe I also had a leaking injector. This injector replaces the original style with this Multiport style. This places the injector at the end of the fuel tube and injects straight into the lower intake manifold. The installation was fairly easy and I put it as a moderate skill level repair. You have to remove the upper intake manifold to install, so there are a lot parts to remove and wires to disconnect. I was surprised that not only did the new mounting bracket come with it, but also all of the gaskets that are needed are also included along with detailed instructions. After installation the engine fired right up and ran great without any tinkering. Amazon definitely has the best price on this part and as always the shipping and quality are excellent. The part came in genuine AC Delco packaging, so no worries about getting an aftermarket part. If you are having any kind of fuel injector problems, I highly recommend that you use this part for your replacement. Update: I have had this part in use for 18 months and over 20,000 miles and have not had any issues. My truck starts up like the day I bought it brand new.

10/10 would recommend for any high mileage truck. Completely improves the drive ability and response
The media could not be loaded. My 1996 chevy k1500 hade the stock injectors with 254k miles on them was overdue for new injectors. This kit woke the truck up. 10/10 best thing I've done to my truck in a long time. Its like a brand new truck. Throttle response improved so much, better low end power, ideals super smooth. Truck drives and responses. Easy to install as long as you label everything and follow the correct order. My only complaint is the injectors were a bit hard to get to go into there spots toke some force, and the fail to say in the description this kit comes with all the gasket for the injectors and the upper plenum/intake manifold.

New Spider MPFI Kit made my tired old Vortec run like new
I had the CSFI which caused the 5.7L Vortec to run terrible at idle, hard to start, burn thru gas like crazy. Finally spent the money for the Upgrade MPFI kit. Was worth every penny and the time it took to do the upgrade. took me about 15 hours and it was hard work. But I am a shade tree mechanic at best so someone with more skill could probably run thru it in about half the time.I could not believe the difference. At idle the engine run so smooth you can barely tell its running. I feel like I driving a brand new truck. The only thing I was not sure about was how the MPFI lines insert into the intake manifold. Its not like the original where the injector lines snap into the intake holes. The new injector has green plastic sleeves that cover the injectors and they do not snap into the intake manifold. You have to push to make sure the plastic sleeves are all the way in as far as they can go but there is not real snap or feel to it. I just made sure they sleeves were barely showing or not at all showing. The wires and the clip have to be adjusted a bit so they dont impede each other because they are in such close proximity to each other. Also, the lines themselves are not very flexible so I had to work the lines with great care to get them to route properly. But I highly recommend anyone who has the old CSFI injectors to ditch that old setup and save yourself time, headaches and money and upgrade to the MPFI Spider injector.
