Worked surprisingly well. I only used the u-shaped wire cutter to cut one inch thick styrofoam with printed sign cutouts mounted to it. The cutter was easy to use and precise. It took a few tries to get the hang of, but I was very pleased. Stores in a small space and heats up quickly.

This foam cutter is much better than I expected. OK, it is not heavy duty or industrial but it does a great job. I used it on a very heavy piece of plastic coated foam and it worked great. It was my first attempt and it turned out much better than I expected. I would have given it a perfect score but the power supply is a bit under powered for extra thick foam but for average or light duty jobs it is excellent!!!

I made 2 decently sized projects with this before it stopped working due to a cord issue (it would heat up, but if I moved it, it would lose power). 1.) Made my son a portable terrain for an RC monster truck. 2.) Made approximately 12 large stalactites and Stalagmites for a stage production of The Hobbit. Really worked great until the very last stalactite. I liked that it came with replacement wire, which I did need at one point when the one it came strung with broke. Overall, a great value for a great machine. Just wish it lasted longer.

Heats quickly you go slow through thicker or more dense material with this or any cutter.

It was great till it fell apart and that was the second time. The wand started melting inside around the hot Rod tool. Definitely not worth the money.

Was very excited to use a hot foam cutting tool as I have used blades and saws before and they can be measy. I wanted to make Halloween Tombstones and Stone Columns. First use was awesome. Cutters heated up fast, cut like butter, and cooled off fast. However, my son was using the straight cutters and turned it up too high and either the wires or cloth mesh inside the tube melted so they wouldn't heat up anymore. I know this because I unassembled them to try to fix the issue. The U/Hook shape and exposed wire cutters still work (used the U in the picture) but I'm unable to find a replacement just for the thin, straight rods. It would be nice if the instructions were clear and/or the dial wouldn't allow the temperature to go up so high that it would break the heating elements. Overall, it's a good product, but be careful not to run it more than 10 watts (or whatever the readout is measured in) so prevent permanent damage to the tips.

Ordentlich gemachter Artikel. Eins sollte man allerdings beachten. Die einzelnen Werkzeuge nur mit der angegebenen Spannung (oder weniger) betreiben. Da die Werkzeuge mit der korrekten Spannung sehr schnell auf Temperatur sind, ist bei höherer Spannung vermutlich schnell was kaputt.
