WEN 3420T 2-Amp 8 in. x 12 in. Variable Speed Benchtop Mini Wood Lathe

Product came in perfect condition with all the accessories described. I was very pleased with the build quality. Having a speed control as well as a belt speed adjustment is even better. Tension cams on all the adjustments are right and tight with no need to over crank them. Bearings are really good with no wobble or play. If you put this machine side by side with a JET branded lathe, there are very few differences except price. This is worth every penny.

Love it , people say that its not working , but mine run very quietly and stonger than I expected , I have turned 30 bowl 7" wide and everything still in place and no problem yet , love this machine

This is my first lathe and I have found it to be very powerful. It is quite sturdy and all of the pieces are very solid. I have turned four projects on it so far (two wands and two chess pieces), both turned out great (for my skill level). This is a great tool if you want to get into wood turning.

At first I thought it was a great lathe, then the tool rest broke (which they replaced eventually) and now it sounds like the bearings are going in the head stock, so I guess I will have to wait until they seize and then buy a different make of lathe as the warranty will probably be over by then. I was so excited when I received the lathe but now I am downhearted as I m a pensioner and live on a fixed small income. Oh well, live and learn. :-)

This is a nice little lathe for what it does, but for those of you who are looking to buy, be aware that it is a discontinued model. There is a more powerful version, the 3421, available at Home Depot Ca. for under $200. I only found this after receiving my lathe.
