After two months of use, the battery stopped charging. I would charge the battery for 8 hours only for the trimmer to quit after a few seconds of use. While the product itself is good, seems they have a problem with the battery.

I’ve now been cutting my own hair (albeit sometimes with the help of my wife or son) for almost a year), since the pandemic closed my barber down. After going ten weeks without a haircut, my son (who had been already even cutting his own hair for some time) gave me one, and I realized that I could do for myself—and should start doing given the pandemic’s uncertain prognosis. So I bought a Remington razor on Amazon and began cutting my own hair. After two cuts, the razor had paid for itself and I was satisfied with the results. The only thing I didn’t like was the mess the cut hair made on and around me. I looked into Flowbees, but since they weren’t being sold anymore I found this Remington razor with a vacuum on Amazon and decided to give it a try. Lo and behold, the vacuum works! It doesn’t capture every hair, but it gets a lot which makes makes cleanup afterwards much easier.The vacuum compartment is small and you may have to empty it once or twice while you cut, but if you use it regularly you may not have to do so until you’re done. And emptying it is easy too—it just snaps off and back on. The kit provides a charger, about 10 cutting length guides, scissors, oil, and a small brush. I don’t know how long the battery lasts because I charge it up each use, and it certainly lasts a lot longer than I need for each haircut. The cutting capability itself is also fine, and I’ve had no problem with hair getting pulled or snagged. Again, this has already more than paid for itself, and I don’t plan on ever returning to the barbershop.One last comment: if you wear your hair short like I do, cutting it yourself is very simple and easy: just snap on the length guides and run the razor over your head uniformly. Even the back is doable without looking (though this is where I usually ask my wife for help). It’s obviously harder to get an even cut if you keep your hair longer, but my son is adept at getting the look he wants—long on top, cut very close on the sides. But overall, I’m very glad to have this vacuum razor: it’s another product that’s changed my life by making it more convenient and that saves me money.

I was very pleased with it. On my recommendation, my brother in-law bought one and he loves his too.The #7 (7/8") comb gives me almost the same haircut I was getting from a barber prior to pandemic forcing barber shops to close. The vacuum catches virtually 100% of the hair during a haircut. I love the convenience of performing a hair cleanup in 5 minutes without ever leaving home so I never let my hair grow out more than 3/8" before trimming it back to 7/8. Even when the pandemic is over, I will likely continue cutting my own hair.With my previous trimmer, my wife would perform a cleanup which took just as long as my giving myself the haircut. With this trimmer, the vacuum lifts the hair so that the trimmer can cut it efficiently with fewer passes and no additional cleanup has been required. I have fairly fine straight hair so the vacuum may not be as effective for other hair types.The #2 (1/4") comb is the perfect length for my beard trim and eyebrows. With facial hair being relatively stiff, the vacuum only catches about 50%.This trimmer is fairly quiet. My previous plug-in trimmer was quite loud and I was quite surprised how quiet this one is. The vacuum makes more noise than the trimmer.I highly recommend this trimmer.

Hair is left everywhere and also very bulky and heavy. I do not recommend buying it.
