Q: Does this come with one or 2 stands?

The Mr.Grippy ski tuning stand comes in a set of 2 ski tuning stands. So it is ready for your ski or board tuning right away!

Q: How well would this product work with a snowboard? Both laying flat as well as sitting in the slot for tuning edges.

I find that the board does not sit sturdy When you are trying to do base edge work. If you set them up one way the top is way too narrow for most boards. If you set them up the other way the top is rounded on either side so the board rocks. If you put the board in the slots in order to do side edge work, I found that the slats are not wide enough for the board to sit securely

Q: Has anybody tried this for XC classic skis? mine are more than 2 meters long and I fear this product won't give enough support in the center

These are not clamped supports, just really for application of the wax. Scraping and sharpening require holding with your hand.

Q: Are these too narrow for a snowboard?

It can be a bit challenging to have the snowboard stable due to the width of the Mr.Grippy. If you use 2 sets of the Mr.Grippy side by side it works well. With just one set, it gets a bit wobbly for a snowboard.
