KOHLER 10412-VS Forté(R) 4-Hole Sink 9-1/16" spout, Matching Finish sidespray Kitchen Faucet, Vibrant Stainless

Last one of these kitchen faucets lasted 14 years. Like it so much I got the same one again. Chrome started flaking off after 14 years. Good product.

UPDATEThis faucet does it’s job very well! Very easy to install. Way more robust then any other big box store faucet I’ve ever had. No complaints at this time, it was installed two weeks ago. So far so good. I recommend this faucet. I’m very satisfied. I will follow up if things change, as I’ve read other reviews that mention it started to leak for them within a few weeks, so if things change, I will update my review. UPDATE BELOWIt's been just over 6 weeks since installing this kitchen faucet. It has since developed a banging or clunking noise when turning it on. It also now leaks at the base of the faucet itself. Not happy about these new defects in this product. I will try to get a video of the noise it now makes, however it doesn't make the banging sound every time it is turned on. It only makes the noise for a second as it is turned on, then the noise stops. It is actually a little scary as it catches one off guard and is startling. If anyone one else has experienced this issue, please comment and let me know.

some thick glue-like substance has started leaking at the "joint" of the hand (for lack of a better word), and the hot water comes out at a trickle. I've checked with a plumber who has confirmed it is that the fixture is broken (and is junk) and needs replacing. I installed it less than 1 year ago.

This is a review of the K-10412 CP. Amazon delivered product on time and well packaged, although Kohler packaging was outstanding. No parts missing so the plumber was able to install very quickly and according to him it was an easy install. He did comment on the overall quality of the faucet including both the faucet valuing (ball valve for water control) and the escutcheon (3 hole cover plate), which fit very snugly to sink. Even I could tell this was a very high quality product and the more I use it the more evident that becomes.It looks great with a modern design and good 6" spout height sufficent to allow easy filling of pots and pans. This, and a 9" reach and along with the nearly 180 degree swivel of the spout, makes it easy to cover most of the entire sink. And of course the sides spray will allow you to hit areas spout does not reach. I'm not sure about some of the comments on the spray - it is chrome like the faucet, very well made with a solid base that securely holds the sprayer. Very nice. I particularly like the faucet lever which is fairly long, very elegant looking and most importantly, makes control of both water temp and flow a breeze. And the precise control is due to the valuing mechanism which is just tight enough but not too tight so you can adjust lever very easily. I love that part of it the most, and frankly, that is the primary fuction of a faucet - water flow and temp.Detailed instructions were provided although the plumber didn't need them it appeared, but for a novice, they would have come in handy. Overall, I'm highly impressed with this product and it feels like it will be a beautiful addition to kitchen for many years to come. I highly recommend.
