Nitecore MPB21 21700i Mini Rechargeable Lantern Flashlight Bundle with 5000mAh Battery Charger and LumenTac Micro USB Cabl

I bought this along with a flashlight from the same vendor. The plan was to have the batteries back each other up. However, this uses a specially designed battery that will not work in the flashlight. And the regular flashlight battery won't work with this light or power bank module.

Heres the skinny,If youre camping or need emergency power, this will definitely do it. When there are no lights, you dont need 500+ lumen lighting. Your eyes will adjust naturally. 80L is gonna be hard on your eyes. Trust me.Diffuser is solid and even. Id love to see this in a warm white as opposed to the cool white. Youll be able to increase run times and keep eyes from straining. Maybe even a amber setting? Also maybe add a slim sheath for it? Like just something thing and will cover the outside of the battery.Also this is great for lightweight camping needs. Id rather have this than a bigger lantern

There is no case or body, which makes this light well, very light (weight), only a battery and the lamp portion.However, I had to return it, the light portion is held by a weak magnet to the battery and kept falling off.The idea is good (i.e. no case or body), but the implementation with just a magnet is not.Maybe add some sort of a mechanical clip/retainer?

What a cool little light/charger thingie!Seeing some good stuff from Nitecore lately seems like?The light is not another little flashlight although it is little. It is a light source rather. Looks like the run time is pretty good for a great lantern which doubles as a power bank. I have a good selection of flashlights/weapon lights etc. but when the lights are out you just need a stationary source. Awesome camping/outage equipment. Impressive design/features, big fat battery that just makes the softish mini LED lantern.Cool little box about the size of a bar of soap.Will probably get another or two. Great gift for anyone into this type stuff. Practical and awesome little piece of kit. I know it willcome in handy.-c.

Redundancy is key, it's always good to have several backups while camping and backpacking. After the colder months, I'll keep it in my car for emergencies and take it in my day-pack while hiking. I love it when things have multiple purposes! Not sure about the battery life because I have not used it much yet, will provide an update.

It charges my phone, provides light, and is easy to charge using solar, used as a battery for a flashlight... simple, versatile and dependable... I have use for it.. daily.

Having a dual use battery while backpacking is great. I have not tried it in cold weather but in mild and warm weather it works great. The 80 lumen rating looks to be accurate and the 5000 mAH rating also appears to be accurate. I was able to fully recharge my phone during the 2 day trip.Having a hanging hook would make this battery prefect but I was able to create one myself.

I have several Nightcore products, however I had questions on my recent purchase and left several messages and customer support with no response. Lumen tactical is happy to take your money but becomes a ghost for customer support. Overall Nightcore products seem to be ok, however customer support is as important as the product itself. Very disappointed in Nightcore. I purchased several flashlights every year and this is very disappointing to see how Nightcore treats good customers.
