Copag 1546 Design 100% Plastic Playing Cards, Poker Size (Standard) Green/Burgundy (Regular Index, 1 Set)

My elderly parents like playing with these cards. The cards are durable and good quality, but quite slick!

So I recently had need for new playing cards. With two teenagers in the house, I seem to lose cards all the time. So, I decided to buy a few sets of different brands to give them a try. I can say, with three minor issues, that these are the best cards I have ever used and they still deserve a 5-star rating. PROS: they are very easy to shuffle, hold well in the hand and are not slippery, the text and numbers are easy to read and they feel tear-proof and should last quite a long time. CONS: like I said, there are three small issues. 1) these cards have an odd smell, almost like celery seed and kerosene, but definitely noticeable. Hopefully this will dissapate. 2) the dye of the red cards is a little off. More orange than I'd like, but not terrible. and 3) they are noisy when shuffling. Again, not bad, but noticeable. Even with these, compared to Gemaco, Monarch, Bicycle and others I have recently tried, you will not be disappointed.

Love these cards. Easy to shuffle and they are smooth so they slide easily across the table when dealing.

This card set is quite nice. Everyone commented on how smoothly they shuffled and how easily they glided over the table. That said, somehow several cards chipped on the corners. I sent a message to Copag along with the damaged cards and the aces from the decks and they replaced them free of charge. Copag definitely stands behind their products and I would recommend highly purchasing them. KEM, their chief rival, I'm sure would still offer the same level of service, however, I doubt you can find cards as nice as these in this price range anywhere else.

Bought 4 decks in 2021. Bought 2 more 2023. None have chipped or cracked. This with 24 player and 22 games. (4 hour games). What is odd is that the 2021’s still look fairly good. The 2023 set are very dirty. The decks get moved around so I do t think it is table conditions. Diff manufacturer? I still like these cards. I’m replacing them every 2 years. (Yes I know it should be more often but we’re cheap).

I run a monthly poker game and really like the cards. To be safe I know put these cards back in the plastic case when I'm done w/ them. I had some KEM cards that warped over time b/c I left them out of my case and my basement is humid and this is where my cards are. I don't know if these will warp if I leave them out of the case in my basement or not. I think these were less expensive than the KEM cards and was the reason why I got them. I also liked that that they were slightly larger than the KEM cards. Anyway, everyone that plays with these like them and I ended up buying 4 packs each with different colors on the back of the card. I would buy them again.

I collect playing cards and own (and have played!) cards from Bicycle, Cartamundi, Kem, and many other manufacturers, and I can attest to the fact that Copag makes a good deck of cards. The feel of the plastic (yes, if you're not aware, these guys are made out of some type of plastic- PVC I think?) is good, and these cards can certainly take a beating- these have survived a beer spill or four and all it took to make 'em good as new again was wiping them down. The thickness of the cards is good and they shuffle well... these are definitely good playing cards. The only thing that I wish- and this doesn't affect my review on 'em- is that the designs on the back of the cards are a little staid and boring, but I was fully aware of that when I bought these.
