This stain is great. I wanted to restore a gun that a friend of mine had gifted to me but wasn't sure what colour I wanted to stain the gun. after watching a few youtube videos on this product and how to apply it due to I didn't want to stain my gun a colour that I didn't like, I decided to buy this product. This stain worked out great, my gun turned out looking great, I was very happy with the colour. The shipping wasn't fast put it wasn't amazon fault after a quick call to their Customer Support they shipped out another bottle and I had it in a few days. I bought the BW Casey Gun Stock Clear Sealer & Filler at a local gun store to put a finish touch on my gun and that also worked out great. A great line of products.

Birchwood Casey stain
Birchwood Casey products are generally pretty good. I’ve used their stain before on wood products with great results. Depending on the type of wood you’re trying to stain determines the strength and number of coats. They recommend you dilute it 50/50. I ended up using it full strength and two coats on this particular project with great results. You really need to test it on a small spot before proceeding. I thought the true oil would help darken the wood but it didn’t . Side note: the true oil makes a beautiful finish.
