Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. for NES is one of the best Mario games of all time. I don't understand why people criticize the graphics. What's wrong with them? The graphics are all right. I think they're downright cute, actually. The gameplay itself is where the game truly shines. Jumping on adorable 2D goombas is very fun and addictive. Personally, I love my NES and Super Mario Bros. The plot itself is very simple, although more interesting than the nowadays Bowser kidnapped Peach for the umptillion time: Bowser wishes to take over the Mushroom Kingdom but the king's daughter, Princess Toadstool, has good magic to beat Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom. So, Bowser ties her up and kidnaps her, as mentioned above. He has also kidnapped the Mushroom Retainers -- the Toads, to be exact. By the way, I like the name Princess Toadstool more because a toadstool is a type of mushroom, and the toads are mushrooms, so it also makes more sense. After all, she's not the Princess of Peaches! The music is nice and classic, and catchy at that. All in all, this is a game I recommend. It is great Mario goodness right from the NES. I only have two more things to say: I recommend getting the original NES version, which is more classic. Also, you should get Super Mario World for the SNES.

If you've played ANY Mario game after this one, prepare to die. The skidding physics make landing jumps, and even sometimes making jumps, difficult. That's not to say this game is bad, quite the contrary, but be ready to need to shut it off and cool down for a bit along the ride. I'm no greenhorn to vintage games, but I still have trouble passing world two without the warp zone.This is the game that started it all, and arguably, saved the video game industry. It's a classic that is often mimicked, but never reproduced, and should be in the collection of all NES or vintage games enthusiasts/collectors.Mine came very dirty. It looks as if someone at one point spilled soda into the open, reading end. I've spent a lot of time cleaning it up with Q-tips and alcohol, and still more time needs to be spend to get it back to factory-new reading quality, but this point is really just to share the cleaning technique. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips to rub away the dirt and grime, let the game dry, and test until it's running smoothly.

Came in better than expected. Looked very clean and like brand new. We were playing in no time and started up with no problems. Just pretty cool playing...it was harder playing it now than I remember but still a lot of fun!

Game works fine but arrived with half of the label peeled off which it didn't mention in the description

This is the first and only video game I every owned for my Nintendo NES. I really think , if it wasn't for the fact. That it came with the console, I may have ended up with no games. Mine came with duck hunt and the gun. I think the game is very fun and appeals to the biggest imaginations. As an adult I would still love to be able to play this game, all night long. Although , these new games have great hi definition and there is no comparison there. I would still choose this old game any day. I love the fact that they have come out with one that can fit your new televisions. I can't even remember how the game was hooked up.

Do not buy from GDreamer when purchasing!!! Their NES game was marked as “Very Good” yet when I received it, it was in poor condition. When something is marked as “Very Good,” I think most of us would expect a product that is in great condition. What I got had mold and dirt all over it. So I emailed the seller, and this is the response I got...Dear Customer,Sorry for the item condition is not as you expected.We mark as very good because the product is still fully function and there is no physical damage on the product like crack or hole or missing parts under the guideline.GDreamer

Item arrived very quickly and was shipped the next day. I bought a Nintendo NES game and it arrived in PERFECT CONDITION! IT literally looks brand new like it's never been touched, which is amazing since they haven't made nes games for 26 years. It's obvious someone took really good care of it. I popped it in my machine and it played without problem
