Got this for a Dell 7566, seller Q&A stated it would work with that model. Unfortunately, while the battery is recognized and can charge, it will fail at random and instantly shut down your laptop. It's basically unusable without an AC plugged in at all times unless you're willing to risk losing all your work at a moment's notice. It has gotten slightly better over time at not instantly failing, but it's still not a risk worth taking, in my opinion.

The battery arrived very quickly and in good shape. Installation was tight and required a bit of force to squeeze into place. Then I plugged in the charger for a while and clicked the on button. Hurray, the battery warning screen is gone. I haven't tested for run time because I seldom use this laptop unplugged. It's a battery draining laptop anyway so I'm not expecting long run times, just enough to move around the house a bit.

I will give this a 1-2 stars. This battery can be flaky at times. I replaced my OEM battery in my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 with this. Sometimes it doesn't even get to windows before the battery flakes out, sometimes it works just fine. My OEM battery stated it was 11.4v and this one is only 11.1v. It is never consistent. I have done the battery learning on it, no change. I switched the modes and Windows will report a full battery, and the system just shuts off sometimes. I write like this is happening all the time, but in reality once or twice a week.

I bought this battery to replace an old one that wasn’t charging. I replace the battery and THIS one isn’t charging.
