OtterBoxDefender Series Case for Samsung Galaxy S6 - Retail Packaging- Gunmetal Grey/White/Moroccan Sky

Have used these for over 10 years , lasts about 3 to 4 hrs. Dropped out of big truck 30 or 40 times over that period outer cushioning finally wore out but the phone still looks brand new..when that wore out I got another cover.

This replaced my husband's old Otter case which he had for 5 years. He is very happy with it

Update: error on review. This pertains to a different product. Unable to delete.Like most of us, we have gone through several screen protectors over the years. So comparing this one to others I offer the following.Packaging/shipping - was packaged and shipped in a reasonable amount of time. No significant difference to others.Installation - here is where this product is superior to the others that I have tried. The screen has tabs at the top and bottom that allow you to easily install it perfectly the first time. You can then simply pull the tabs and protective covering off with little effort.Protection - my last screen protector cracked with no identifiable cause. This one is a little thicker and appears to be more substantial. Time will tell how well the holds up. But after a month it still looks as good as the first day I installed it. The overall appearance while looking at my screen as well as the tactile response when I touch a key appears as good as any screen protector that I have had.Price - I have had the Verizon store charge me three times the cost to install one of their screen protectors. I've also purchased the fancy Gorilla Glass and it had that installed in the past. This protector is a bit cheaper and has met my expectations.Customer service - this is the second area that separates this screen protector from others. I had a minor issue with my original order. I reached out to them on a late Friday night. They responded within an hour. Unheard of! They were able to address my concern immediately. If I could give them 6 Stars for customer service I would.I have been very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend to others.

Material deteriorates in the tropics after a few years.

Love this case! OtterBox is the best case on the market, and this one is no exception. 2-piece case with plastic interior case covered with rubber bumper outer case, and pretty decorative backing on the outer case. Stylish and does exactly what I need it to.The only negative to this case is the built-in screen protector. I'm sure if it were better designed, it would be great, but as it is designed now, it actually kind of "floats" above the phone's touch screen and creates a gap between the protector and the screen itself, which means you have to press very hard to make contact with the screen, and typing on a keyboard is almost impossible, because it skips letters due to the gap between the protector and the screen. Very frustrating. I used it for all of about 20 minutes before I took the case apart and removed the protector. I keep a military-grade screen protector on all of my phones at all times anyway, so there is no need for an additional protector in my case. If not for this design flaw, I would give it 5 stars.

I went from a sleek shiny slim case to this big clunky case and suddenly I fell in love, suddenly my phone is a substantial gadget that fits my hand perfectly, suddenly I can find and grab for it quickly from my purse, suddenly it feels wonderfully safe and secure wherever I place it. I chuckled at first, at the big goofy belt clip attachment that came with it but when I clipped on and actually used it, I was pleasantly surprised - at the ease and comfort of use, at the convenience of carrying my phone so safely clipped to my pocket while I worked in the yard. I four-starred my Otterbox because I am finding that the built-in screen protector somewhat weakens the touch screen sensitivity, I have to press extra carefully when keying around. If you are a Superstar at keying it might drive you a little nuts, I am slow and pokey so it hasn't bothered me too much, yet. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

A nice-looking case with a good feel. I love the slightly grippy texture of the bumper and the buttons all work great. I'm very confident my phone would be protected from most falls and bumps in this case. It's not too bulky but still provides peace of mind.Things that bother me:A) The clear plastic screen cover is so flexible that it's pushed up a little by the screen protector that was already installed on my phone, causing a tiny void between the plastic and the screen. Because there is a hole for the home button, dirt and dust gets in and is trapped under the plastic. Looks gross. I have to take the case off and clean it out every once in awhile.B) The little flappy cover things for the headphone jack and the charger feel like they're going to eventually get ripped off, but that may be many years from now so I can't honestly fault that. We'll just have to see.

I purchased this case for my phone upgrade. Based on everything I read about it and other reviews it seemed like it would fit my needs perfectly. I have to say it does that, however, I may have gone overboard on what I felt I needed. This case would be perfect for someone who carries their phone in their pockets or in their hands a lot. I don't do that. My phone is usually in my purse or on my desk. I am having trouble adjusting to the additional front screen protection. This is user preference and not a reflection on the quality of the product. I am going to continue using it to see if I can adapt or go back and order the Commuter or Symmetry style which is more streamline and what I have always used in the past. I love the color combination and design of the Defender which may have clouded my decision making capabilities. :-)

Disappointed that the Moroccan blue pattern on the back is just a piece of stiffer paper; this surely won't last very long. I had expected it to be part of the rubber case itself. I already had an OtterBox case and only ordered this one to change things up a bit and enjoy a different pattern. I agree with other reviewers about how much dust etc. gets underneath the plastic screen. I'm always taking it apart to clean it. As long as you're not fussy about this it is a solid case for your phone. The only reason for the lower review is the fact the the pattern on the back is paper glued on

This is the first Otterbox I have had. I dont really like it, its bulky, the plastic part that covers the screen makes it totally unresponsive, I took that off. Now its better. Seems like it will protect the phone well, but I would not buy it again. The Moroccan tile on the back is kinda seperate material, so its odd. Its okay, but I would get something else.

Love this case! Excellent value for the money. I drop my phone all the time and will always have an Otter Box. The one time I didn't my phone was toast.Six Months Later: Still love it! I've dropped the crap out of my phone and not so much as a scratch.
