The speaker rattles badly even in a proper load of 2Ω or 4Ω or 8Ω with the minimum volume level & bass. This subwoofer ruin my mood. I am pretty sure, this is a defective pics delivered to me.

Great speaker! Installed as the door woofer for my volvo as a replacement for a blown Dyne audio woofer. 6.5inch is perfect. “If using for volvo v70 p3 you need to burn holes for the mounting screws and solder the connections. It is easy to do but requires solder and a soldering iron.”

Bought it for a little sub for my daughters microcar. Works ish but won't buy Pyle again. Never seen a speaker with plastic basket before.

Lo use en un carro para poder tener buen bajo y cumple con su objetivo. Lo probé con un Amplificador Sony Xplod de 150watts RMS y suena muy bien, a altos volúmenes no se distorsiona mucho. Lo que importa para sacarle buen provecho es un buen amplificador, es el mejor subwoofer para su precio y tamaño que se puede encontrar, lo puse en un cajón de MDF de 18mm con 53pies cúbicos (como lo pide el manual), si quieren las medidas que le puse son estas: 28cm de altura x 33 cm de ancho x 24.5cm de profundidad, le coloque una salida de aire con un tubo de PVC de 3", aunque con una salida de aire de 2" de diámetro es suficiente, con un largo de 18cm. Cabe perfectamente en una cajuela pequeña, yo la puse en un Matiz y no ocupa demasiado espacio. Espero les sirva mi reseña ya que yo estuve mucho tiempo buscando lo mejor y más barato y al probar esto se los recomiendo para los que no quieren gastarse la fortuna y solo buscan calidad buena para sus canciones. Obviamente no es para hacer mucho ruido, solo para aumentar los bajos en el auto, por ser de los más económicos y pequeños es bastante recomendable.

There are so many variables when it comes to speaker performance beyond the quality of the unit itself, so lets be clear on the application here. This speaker is replacing a factory dual voice coil sub, connected to a factory amplifier (not a high end one either), in a factory speaker enclosure, using the factory "high" level left/right channel inputs to the amp. The head unit (radio) is not factory, but its a 15 year old mid-tier name brand unit. The speaker fit in the enclosure with minimal modification (had to trim some internal plastic "framing" to clear the magnet) and the mounting screw holes didn't line up with factory one, requiring making new ones (not a big deal). I did have some 1/4 self adhesive foam tape to help make a nice seal between the speaker and the enclosure. I must say that I was highly impressed with the bass quality from this little thing powered by an anemic amp. With the cone material, I'm not expecting a super long life span given possible exposure to open air environments, but for this price point, I would have no problem replacing a bit more often. Other vehicle owners have reported a surprisingly long life span from this same unit. I'm not sure I'd really want to push it with a 600W amp, or compare it with larger cones, but for a factory replacement (if it fits your application) on anything lesser than some high end import, I would absolutely recommend this as an option!
