DERMA E Acne Oil-Control Matte Face Moisturizer, 2 Oz Clarifying Face Cream

I honestly love this lotion. It is really thick and you don't need very much to cover your entire face. I have noticed my face is free of pimples but gets the occasional zit a couple times a month. I was using Neutrogena and Clean&Clear salicylic acne products, but couldn't really get flawless skin. This product works better for my face and I feel good using a natural product. The only complaint I have, like many reviewers, is the smell. The first couple times you use the product the smell will remind you of paint thinner. Although the scent is really strong at first, it dissipates as it dries and you can pick up the varying scents that make up the lotion (lavender, peppermint). After it completely dries and I apply make-up, I can't even smell the lotion (nor can anyone else). Although it is a little pricey, I feel like I am spending less money overall because I don't need multiple products to get rid of pimples/zits. The lotion lasts a long time, I am not even half way through the first container after 5 months. I highly recommend this product, but warn sensitive buyers about the potential strong odor. Also, I recommend using this product for 2 weeks before you judge its efficacy. The skin needs a couple weeks to get use to the new product, although my skin was good after a couple of days.

I bought this because someone left a comment to buy this product instead on a Tiktok video promoting an entirely different product. They said that this product was their go-to to promote stability in her skin type. I echo this in my own experience! I don't feel as gross by the end of the day unlike other products. Its oil control has shown to help reduce the appearance my pores and over time since it dries up the white heads and prevents excess oil from clogging them pores. Perhaps the thing I appreciate the most is that it not only provides great oil control, but it also helps manage my breakouts. This plus your favorite spot treatment for acne is a great combo! I just wish it was in a pump format, but a tub is fine. :)

I've used this for about 1.5 years now and it's worked well, especially for its price. However, I feel like this moisturizer dries up my skin and makes my face produce more oil, so I get shiny and oily an hour/two hours after I apply it. It's either that or maybe I just have really oily skin in general. I don't break out very often--maybe a couple pimples here and there but I'm still very oily. That's why I feel like I have normal to oily skin rather than just oily skin. This product should work really well for people who have very oily skin instead of being inbetween the normal to oily skin range like me (although this moisturizer isn't bad for that range either). I do like the tea tree scent too. It goes away after a few minutes. Overall, I really like it but I just don't know if it's the right moisturizer for my skin type.

This is my staple moisturizer for combination skin. I’ve tried using other brands but then break out again so I keep going back to this. The only downside is the tea tree smell but it dissipates after a while (or I just get used to it). I won’t dock stars for the smell because tea tree is good for acne and since it’s natural, well you can’t really get rid of the natural smell of it. I keep buying it because it actually works so I gotta stick with five stars.

This moisturizer is truly amazing. I’ve only been using a week and already noticing a huge difference after using 1-2 times a day. For the reviews that say it’s very thin- I think they got the wrong product because this stuff is a thick, long lasting moisturizer! Yes, it smells strongly of tea tree oil, because it has a lot of tea tree oil to fight breakouts :). For the first week, it made my face slightly red for maybe 10 minutes after using, but it went away quickly and has now stopped. I’ve tried a TON of products and this is really a fantastic moisturizer and fights acne better than any product I’ve tried. I can already tell this little jar will last me 3 months easily with using it 1-2 times daily. Definitely can’t beat the amount and quality you get for this price! RECOMMEND!

I have tried soo many products for acne prone skin. I honestly love their facial cleanser for acne prone skin, but that's it. This moisturizer made me break out worse no matter how much, or how little I used. At first it seemed nice and moisturizing, but that's it. The smell was off-putting, and i began getting cystic pimples all over in places i normally do not break out. I really think this product is too thick to prevent acne, and needs to be a lighter gel consistency to work for my skin. And i usually have combo skin. It's dry right after washing, and ends up being oily towards the end of the day. Oh and btw the seller does not take returns at all, so yay for another wasted 14 bucks!

I have used this product for a few years and I have loved it! It was the perfect blend of moisturizing, while not breaking me out. I am in my late 40's, and every moisturizing cream for my age group would always break me out. This was perfect! Unfortunately, they have recently changed the formula and added salicylic acid. Now my face feel very dry after using this. So disappointed. Wish they would have just left this alone.

I've been using this less than two weeks and it's cleared up my adult acne the best of any product I've ever tried. I use it every other day at night time after cleansing my face. I just put it over problem areas. It doesn't seem too drying. I also use it as a spot treatment. Using this in rotation with the derma e overnight peel and the vitamin c night creme my skin is glowing and so smooth. I use the peel 2 times per week. I struggle with uneven skin tone,a forehead with tons of texture and what appear to be small pimples that never really come to the surface. My chin area always had 3-5 huge,deep painful zits that would last for days/weeks and leave scars. The peel has really helped the scars and this rebalancing creme has smoothed my fore head and cleared up my chin. It has a slight tea tree smell, but absorbs nicely and doesn't dry skin out.

3 months ago I stopped putting moisturizer on my face because I realized it was causing cystic acne overnight because of sweating (even if I washed And exfoliated my face before going to bed and when I woke up). That seemed to help my problem for a little until my skin became very dry and irritated as the winter set in. I’ve been using this cream for the last 2 weeks at night and it’s really helped with the dryness without a single problem pimple. It has some super hard working ingredients in it without all the harsh stuff. I’m really impressed with how this works to keep my skin clear and moisturized at the same time. It doesn’t do much for existing blemishes or scars but it does a fantastic job at balancing problematic skin like mine. My dry patches and irritation are all but gone completely and my skin feels and looks better in general but the most amazing thing is how clear my skin has been. With no new acne appearing it’s easier to manage the existing blemishes too. Very happy with this, I’ve seen more results than with creams that cost triple the price so I definitely recommend. If you’re sensitive to smells you should know the smell is pretty strong. I don’t mind it though it smells like eucalyptus or tea tree oil - my husband likes it too he says it smells like the spa but it is not a faint smell and it is lingering.

Lovely cream, the smell of lavender and tea tree is strong but it goes away after half an hour or so once it's sunk in. Ive found that it works amazingly as a primer for make up - better so than my actually make up primer. I have stopped using a topical antibiotic for acne and am just using this. I would have expected my skin to get much worse, but it hasn't so I'm happy.

I had been using this cream before but company revamped and is now a different name, now Derma-E, Acne rebalancing cream. The consistency is much nicer absorbs nice into skin. Works very well, will keep buying as long as the product keeps working and is available! Packaging is still same color, orange and white! The Derma-E products are color coded, each formula has a different color. Great Product!
