Made a performance difference, bike is more responsive, starts much better when cold and has more pep. Installation is not hard, tedious but not difficult. A worthwhile purchase and modification.

Works great, easy to install and gave my KLX250s a much crisper throttle response off idle and a bit more power from mid-range up. Added this kit (main jet, neddle and spring) along with a FMF Q4 slip-on muffller and a larger air intake snorkel. I was not sure which jet size to use in combo with the other add-ons so e-mailed Dynojet and recieved a quick response on recomendition (#124) main jet) and it seems to be right on.

At first I was a bit on the negative side of putting this thing causa I had never removed the carb from my bike. But once the carb was out, the instructions were pretty straight forward. I wrote to the R&D department for mixture screw settup and they gave instructions that were perfectly accurate. Bike has totally woken up...now it grunts and the power is really noticeable. Id say about a 10-12% increase when putting the pipe and removing the snorkel. Nexty step is doing the 13/45 sprocket.

Was really excited to finally tune my bike but due to family circumstances I couldn't get to installing it right away. Come to find out the kit was missing the fuel needle! Now I'm out of $50 and forced to buy elsewhere.

I highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with a 2009 or later KLX250S. Installation is simple, the hardest part is removing the carburetor from the bike lifting it between the frame rails. All in all the installation can be performed in about an hour.I ran stage 2 jetting, installed a Twin Air filter, and KDX 200 snorkel. The difference is night and day; no more cold start troubles, the bike does not hesitate when rolling on the gas in the low and mid range giving significantly more responsive engine feel, and gas mileage impact is negligible. It's really the throttle feel you get from the kit more than any power gain that makes it worthwhile; if you're looking for significant power gains you'll probably want a 351 cc big bore kit.

You dont get a lot in kit for the price. No pilot jet.

But the instructions sucked. Thank goodness for forums and YouTube videos. Got everything in my KLX250S and she fired right up with her new exhaust and intake snorkel (stage II) removed and runs great.
