Wanted to hang a 70" chime from the 76" shepard's hook. It's only 61" from the ground to the bottom of the hook. it's 76" from the point of the spike to the top of the crook. be aware to deduct 12"- 14" to get the height of what can actually be hung from these.

I was very pleased with the sturdiness of this product. They are a great value for the money. I bought them for my bird feeders to keep the squirrels away. It worked but the deer came instead 😩

The height is excellent and you can take sections out. It is much stronger than what is available in the Big Box stores. The fact that it has five feet is a huge plus in my opinion as it helps the stability.The down side. It still is not as strong as it needs to be to hold a typical flower basket. My opinion. These lean and bend slightly. My favorite shepherds hook made of solid steel is the best I ever bought. If I find that again I am a buyer.

These are really good quality Shepherd socks they are so heavy and thick and have a great support. Super easy to put together and have them in a set of two is great as well. Very sturdy and thick material well-made to be able to support the weight of a plant or in our case or mosquito catcher.

First problem: The stakes are not long enough to keep the pole vertical, no matter how sturdy the pole is. Your soil conditions may not pose a problem, but here as soon as the seasonal rains came, the ground was too soft to keep the pole erect. Two poles tilting at different angles make the whole area look neglected and tumbling down. They lean without any load whatsoever and cannot be straightened using the prongs, as all four prongs are already completely in the ground. A small bird feeder caused it to tilt even more. No way could I hang anything heavy like wind chimes on this.Second problem: The metal threaded insert that joins the sections came loose, so that no matter how much the parts are swiveled, they will never tighten or loosen, just rotate past each other. When the sections are loose, they cause even more leaning.Third problem: I decided to remove these frustrating and ugly things from my garden and toss them in the trash but discovered that the parts that aren't permanently loose have rusted together so that I could not easily separate the rods to get them into the trash can.The soil and weather conditions where you live may cause no problem at all , but for me, this was a huge waste of time and money. I will install a proper post with concrete. That will cost me far less time and money in the end than trying to find instant and easy solutions to the problem.

Great product. Exactly as described. I brought it for some large wind chimes I received at Christmas. So far, the shepherd's hook has held up well with 8 pound wind chimes hung on them.

I like the fact these are adjustable so you can have them low, medium, or high in height. Sturdy enough to hold heavy plants, even once watered. You can see how solid it is in my video at high height with a breeze. Four prongs on the bottom so it holds well in the earth. You won’t be disappointed!
