Stylish Diver/Dress Watch Hybrid - Not Perfect, But Certainly Rather Good.
This was a bit of an impulse purchase, and overall I'm glad I succumbed to the "ooh, pretty, me want!" moment. Fresh from the box I was surprised to find that there are no additional links supplied for the bracelet. Luckily the supplied size fitted my 7-3/4 inch wrist perfectly, but it would be a problem for larger wrists. This is a stylish watch, with a sort of sand/bead blasted finish that reminds me of a typical titanium case/bracelet combination. It looks good on the wrist, and it was a pleasant surprise to find that the bezel is a rotating bezel, with 120-click resolution. This is a quartz movement, and as such is slimmer than a typical automatic movement. Another surprise was that the bracelet is quick-release, allowing for fast bracelet/strap changes if that's what you're into. A water-rating of 10ATM (100M/330ft) means that the watch will survive most water encounters that the majority of people will have. This rating is helped by the addition of a screw-down crown, the feel of this being quite pleasant. The lume on the hands and indices is adequate, and better than most at this price (in my opinion). The double a single pip on the bezel are also lumed. The single disappointment I have with this watch, and the reason it lost a star, is that the second-hand does not meet the second tick marks on the chapter ring. It's consistently maybe 1/3-1/2 a second adrift. This isn't a huge thing, I've much more expensive watches that are as bad or worse, but once it's seen it can't be unseen. I'm not expecting perfection for this money, so I'll certainly be keeping the watch, but a little better QC would have avoided this problem as it's a placement problem not a problem with the movement itself. Overall I'm very pleased with the watch, and it will definitely be part of my watch rotation stable.
