Rivacase 5555 Laptop Cooling Pad For Up To 15.6 Inches - Silver

After looking at dozens of cooling laptop bases, I decided to take my chances on this one, because I liked its design features. I'm glad I did, because it suits my 12" laptop perfectly. The air ports on the sides mean it'll still work properly when resting on bedding etc. The twin fans are a good size and are acceptably quiet. However, I rarely need the fans on because the base, even with no fans running, enables the air vents on the bottom of my laptop to operate freely, which they wouldn't if I laid the laptop straight onto bedding.

I have a Teknet laptop cooler that's fairly quiet, but this one is advertised as "silent", which I thought might be better. It's louder than the old one, so I returned it. If you're not bothered by a little noise, this is cheap and seems to work fine, but it was not what I needed.
