Yeah, get this one.
This is the growth chart that you want to get. It offers both inches and cm (a rare find in growth charts). The markings are clear and easy to read. It's very sturdy (not flimsy cardboard). There are small, centered holes every 12 inches for thumbtacks to pin the chart flush with your wall. It's narrow, which means it's discrete and can be placed almost anywhere. I like how it is narrow. It doesn't have any fru-fru designs on it. If you want a growth chart with fru-fru designs, feel free to tape up some random fru-fru stuff around it. Chances are, your child will not be into cute giraffes or flowers for life, or at least for several feet of growth. Just put on your own giraffes next to it this year, maybe swap out and put on cute mushrooms next year. But for growth charts, this is the one to get. I like how you can mark on this chart very easily. I like the periodic pinholes. I very much appreciate the sturdiness. (This growth chart comes rolled in a box and with a bonus protective film over it that can be removed.) This growth chart will not be ripped or torn. I highly recommend this growth chart.

Good quality, easy to use and made to last
This is a nicely made item. Thick enough gauge plastic to feel study, but thin enough to not be permanently curled when it comes out of the box. The numbers and hash marks are clear and easy to read (once you remove the protective film on *both* sides, which took us a minute to figure out before smacking ourselves). There are a series of nail holes along the length so that it can be easily and tightly secured to the wall, but also easily removed when it comes time to either move or place it in the memory box.We were momentarily dissapointed when it came out of the box and we noticed it started at "1FT" rather than "0". However, we got past this quickly because it is actually a really good design feature for something you are going to put on the wall: no issues with how to deal with baseboard molding! One word of caution -- you do need to be careful to use at least fine point Sharpies (permanent markers) when marking heights. We first used the super fine point versions, and despite being permanent markers they ended up smudged because the ink beaded up and stayed long enough for our little one to run his finger across it. Using the more traditional marker-type tips seems to alleviate this issue.

Solved a problem for our medical mission trips.
We use these for medical mission trips. Use to be, we would place masking tape on the wall and mark the inches and would have to repeat at each new clinic setup. As well, the tape would peal off pain when we tore it down. This chart is reusable. It was such a hit that I was requested to order 2 more. One just needs an additional measuring tape in order to measure the 1st foot for placement on the wall or window. Fortunately, our 1st use was on a window. Will use Frog Tape on subsequent mission trips in order to avoid pealing off any paint should a wall be our only option. Though the description is for a Children's Growth Chart, it will measure people up to 7 feet tall. As well, the box it comes in will easily hold all 3 of our charts for consolidation.

Some adhesive on the back would be great. I'd also advise using large-headed nails (or tacks) ...
This was actually really hard to hang correctly. Definitely a two-person job; one person needs to hold it and one needs to nail it in. Since the bottom starts at the 1 foot mark, if you don't hang it at JUST the right spot, your measurements will be off. The other trick is getting it to lay flush against the wall...there are multiple tiny little nail holes that go up the middle but it likes to bow out between the nail holes...if you don't have it perfectly flush with the wall all the way up, again, your measurements will be off. Some adhesive on the back would be great. I'd also advise using large-headed nails (or tacks) since the holes will slip right off the nails. My toddler pulls this thing down all the time so I'll have to go back and re-nail it with more appropriate nails.

Perfect for kids room!
This ruler is exactly what I was looking for! I bought it for my son's room since he is turning 1 soon I wanted to start a tradition of measuring him on his birthday every year. I didn't like all the cutesy ones for kids plus they only go up to 5 foot. My son is going to be tall, so I knew this wouldn't work. Plus I like that he can compare his height to Mom and Dad on this taller one as well. It has little holes in it so it can be taken down and put back up every time we move. You can write on it and it rolls up into a flexible circle. It seems a little pricey, but it was the ONLY thing like this I could find out there. I spent a whole day looking! It came when they said it would. : )

Perfect for the job.
I was looking for a growth chart that was narrow to fit between two closets in my son's room. I also wanted one which could be moved and easily stored. This fit the bill perfectly. Mulitple holes to tack to wall. Sturdy material that can be rolled up small when ready. Wrote on with fine point sharpie and hasn't smeared off. This is not a "showcase" growth chart, but it does the job.

not what expected
It was not what I expected. It was not that big, too generic.. I thought I would be able to use the markers to make it better but I was not happy with it.

Cheap
The one side with the measurements is paper and has a rough cut on the edges...even starting to peel. Serves its purpose but not as clean and nice looking as expected.
