Q: Is this only for adult dogs? We have a puppy who doesn't yet respond to "drop it" and she won't let go of it.

We started using it when ours was puppy. If you grab with both hands and keep it real still, it becomes uninteresting for them and they let go. It’s a great way to teach the drop it/out command, with play being the reward. You can also trade it for a treat to get them to drop it.

Q: I need a new cord, is it replaceable?

Yes, but only if you have the tools to drill through the black plastic cap or other spot near the top of the pole. I replaced mine and it has held up okay.

Q: How many squeakers are there per pole?

I believe two of the end have squeakers. My one dog loves this toy and so does my sister in laws. My dog is a boarder collie and my sister in laws dog is a golden retriever.
