Piece itself looks great and very heavy for size. BUT, they did not include a nut to actually attach it thru the wall and the pipe threads are NOT a standard US size so you will have to find an adapter fitting to attach to your plumbing. We ended up spending more on adapters and extra nuts than just getting the correct piece to start.

The shower pipe came out of the wall too high, 7.25 feet. Prior owner must have been a basketball player... I used this to transition to a downward hose. Then bought wall mount shower head holders to place the shower handle.

The seller really snuck this one by me as I did not read enough of the reviews to identify the fact that this is unusable for most everyone in the US. I'm not sending it back and you get a 3 for my review since: A. It is very well made and nice finish and you could even you could replace the 1/2 G (BSP or BSPP and the P stands for parallel i.e straight) fitting with another longer fitting if needed as its got an internal 10mm hex in the fitting. If you actually need a 1/2 G straight thread on the wall side then this should be a good choice. B. You totally got me with the description "UNIVERSAL STANDARD – Wall elbow features standard G 1/2" male threads for pipe connection and shower hose connection, fits most hand held shower head" and you did say "G" which if i was not in the US (on the US Amazon site) and instead on the other side of the pond I would know was BSP straight threads. I can't give you 5 stars because you posted an item for sale in the US that you know most people can't use with a description that its universal and I am assuming that you are just hoping people are in a hurry and don't read the descriptions to find out it won't work for most of us, which if i knew was true I would go lower. Technically the description is somewhat true, it fits most hand shower "hoses" (although you could screw the head right to the elbow) since they do have straight threads on that side. Those of us in the US will find most likely that the plumbing in the will is expecting 1/2 NPT which is why this can't be used cause T stands for tapered which is why some people can get half a thread in before it stops. The nipple is a bit short if your wall has tile and you will want to go to the store to replace it which is when you will discover that its not usable. Great, ordered a part and waited for it to get here, mid install make a run to the store only to find that I have to go back online and order something else. For anyone who read this far and has one they are trying to make work you technically could order a coupler that probably would work adapt from G to NTP (although my searches only found Female G to Male NTP adapters you would have to have exactly the right spacing and clearance to run one) but then there is a fitting in your wall that is only available special order and if you return this one and add that money in you can just order one that fits and make sure it says NTP
