Very close to competing with a Surefire...
I do not often do reviews, as I am not paid to do so and there is only so much time in life. But this is one of the few exceptions! I would be remiss to allow this light's performance to go unnoticed. These are solid weapons lights for the price. Has both momentary "on" and click "on". No flash mode, just momentary/on/off, which keeps it simple and user-friendly in a pinch. Aluminum body. The Monstrum 1" mount is solid as well (separately purchased). The less bright pic is with the left light on and the ridiculousy bright pic is with both lights on. It is a very bright light for the price. Good disorienting effect on receiving end at night. I am on about 25 min of use and there is no discernible diminish in the lumens being emitted. Also regarding the size of the light, that is a 10.5" barrel with a 2" brake on the muzzle. I put two lights on this pistol since two is one; one is none... and when it counts... well, you get the idea. There is a pressure switch adapter sold separately (which I purchased but immediately deposited into the "extra parts" bin). The adapter only allows momentary "on", which is not desirable since you lose the option of single handed weapon operation... not that one would ever choose to operate his/her rifle with one hand at night, but say your support hand gets injured... well then you're SOL if you are using the pressure switch adapter. Just stick with the on/off button it comes with and you'll be squared away for that no good situation when you need your light, but only have use of one hand. Also, I put two full Surefire 60 mags worth through the gun with each light on. There were no flickers or off moments. They need more testing, but these lights are solid.

So far so good... and im pretty picky.
This light functions well and is built well especially for the price. I typically go with higher end brands but flashlights are getting extremely expensive for what up end up with. The lens is hardened crystal with a anti glare coating, the electronics and contacts are well assembled, and the overall finish is good. Only con is that the batteries can only be removed from the endcap. Overall it doesn't LOOK as high end as a Surefire or Streamlight but it works just as well. Good beam focus and it turns on and off like it should. Happy with the purchase and Primary Arms is marketing some decent gear at fair prices.

Great light.
Great light. I have several Surefire weapon lights and so far this one works just as good.UPDATE: 12-10-2018. I had this Gen II 700 Lumens light on my IWI Tavor patrol rifle, along with the matching tape switch for 2 years. Only used it approximately 20 minutes over that period of time for qualifications. Got it out the other day and the light didn't work. I through the batteries had died. Well the batteries were still good, the tape switch works so the LED light failed. There was only a one year warranty on the light so I thought I would try to get a replacement LED light module. Except for the non-functioning LED the light itself is in mint condition,I called Primary Arms and spoke with one on the tech's. After checking he there was no replacement parts for the light. Alright, I'll make this long story a little shorter. Primary Arms sent me a new Gen IV 800 lumens light and a new tape switch for free even after the warrant expired.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I'll be a return customer!

Great solid tactical flashlight
Great solid tactical flashlight. I like the style and design. It offers a very bright light in a small form-factor with very good battery life. After a 2 day advanced AR training course at Sig Academy the light held up without any issues. It did add a bit more weight to the front, but I believe if I replace with a smaller, lighter mount I'll be within a good tolerance. For most the weight may not be a concern, but when you carry, shoot and train with your AR after 6 plus hours every once begins to feel heavy.

An Excellent Enhancement to My Home Invader Welcoming Package!
A perfect addition to my IWI Tavor. Mounts perfectly into the compatible foregrip along with a switch pad. To the unsuspecting home Invader, this would look just like a flashlight at night. If/when required, this light would enable a rather decisive solution in case of a life threatening situation. Thank you, Primary Arms.

Great price for realistic use
Looks nice, but would prefer a very matte black finish. Construction seems good, beam is very bright, actuation button is good. Have shot rifle with light twice, hopefully it continues to hold up. I am pleased so far.

finally a great and affordable weapon light
Great light, very rugged, clearly designed for rough use. Good large battery contacts, nothing flimsy, lights up my back yard. Will buy another.
