Asus makes quality products
Asus products are always high quality and work well and this DVD drive follows the same high standards. The last time I needed an Asus DVD drive, it was not available which is disappointing.

Fast & Furious
It arrived on time, but did not fit the computer for which it was obtained. That computer was just too old. However it fitted in our Vibox, and with the help of the local shop (supplying extra cables) it works fine. Fast & easy to operate, it downloaded the drivers while I was wondering what to do next!

Works exactly as described and at a reasonable price, a snap to install (SATA) using with Win 7.
With SATA Interface is a two plug 5 minute install, some complain about needing software, cables etc which means they do not understand SATA and have no business messing around inside their computer. Works beautifully and seamlessly like I expected. The first internal DVD recorder I have had that accurately demonstrates layer-break anomalies on a poorly recorded DVD DL. My only concern was that it was poorly packaged, with little cushioning but appears to work well and will give it contiuous use over the next 30 days. Have always had good luck with ASUS - their products seem to run forever.
