I have just started with using airbrushes and am unsure of which one would be a good one to buy. I did buy 2 master airbrushes and they were junk

I went to a seminar and this particular NEO airbrush was recommended as a good beginner airbrush. The NEO has worked well for me so the advice was sound. The seminar also helped me understand how to use the airbrush, clean it etc.

Does the iwata cn neo only come with 0.35mm nozzle and needle, so that 0.5 nozzle and needle has to be purchased separately?

You CAN switch out for the BCN 0.5mm nozzle, it is compatible. Just remember to also buy the 0.5mm fluid needle as well. Cheers!

Does enamel car model paint work ok?

Yes, you can spray anything you want through an airbrush. I use a lot of Testors and Model Master enamels as well as lacquers and acrylics. I use any hardware store type lacquer thinner to reduce all of them too. I use it approximately 1:1 with enamels and Tamiya acrylics. Yes, lacquer thinner and enamels will mix as will Tamiya acrylics (not true water-based acrylic) and lacquer thinner. Most of the lacquers I shoot are 'ready-to-spray' but I occasionally add a touch more thinner. And yes, although not your actual question, you can also spray automotive paints through it but you will need to reduce accordingly.

Would this be a high quality airbrush for a person who only builds plastic model kits and will it last the test of time?

I threw away my $20 brushes about 2 months after buying this. It primes and bases well, and is capable of some pretty fine detail as well. For the price it's a much better choice than the cheapos and seems like it will hold up a while.
