Amazingly bright
I purchased these LEDs to use as reverse lights for my ’03 Dodge Caravan. They are replacing Sylvania 3057’s which operate at 402 lumens. Since the JDM LEDs are rated at 1260 lumens, I expected them to be blindingly bright. Behind a clear lens, they will definitely make you see spots and are pure, white light. These things are bright...even during the day. No longer am I concerned about anyone not seeing my reverse lights. If I’m backing up, you’ll know it. At night, they light up an area at least 75 foot wide and 100+ foot long, but that’s probably because my tail light assembly has a cut-out on the side and the LED can shine directly to the side of my vehicle as well as straight out the back. In other words, these light up an area massively larger than the OEM bulbs. These LEDs behind a clear lens are blindingly bright. I’d consider these annoying to other drivers if they were used for any other purpose with a clear lens (other than reverse lights).

bright
I replaced my ZEVO DRL's in my 07 Suburban. The ZEVO lights have to be at EXACTLY the same angle in the reflector housing otherwise one will look dimmer than the other; which is the problem I was having. I was tired of battling with those ZEVO lights so I bought these to replace the DRL when I replaced my HID headlights. If anyone has a gen 4 Body style Suburban or Tahoe, you know that you have to remove the entire front bumper to replace a light bulb. So, while I was upgrading my headlights to LED's I decided to finally fix the problem I was having with the ZEVO lights. The JDM ASTAR bulbs are amazingly bright. Because they are DRL I am not really that concerned about them being "too bright" for other motorists. They are very bright and have a great color temperature as well. Had them in about 2 months with no problems.

Great Lights !!! 1995 Ranger 3157
Bright ! Bought some from Walmart before for 5$ terrible choice for some reason when I'd hit the brakes all my interior lights and marker lights would come on made no sense unless something was backfeeding or something . These lights HAVE GIVEN ME NO ISSUE!!!!! Love these using them in a 1995 Ford Ranger can't complain at all would buy again but buy these don't save 10$ and risk getting junk these work can't speak for the lifespans but initially they work great and seem made well I believe they will last!

Dim factory in tail light backup lamps? Great upgrade
Replaced backup lights in 1996 Ford F250 pickup truck. Much better than OEM, I can see clearly now. I was thinking of adding rear led fog light so I could see to backup, now I don't have to. These bulbs saved me money. Easily twice as bright as factory origonal, nice white not yellowish white. Look great and lights evenly.
