Sony MPKUWH1 Underwater Housing for Action Cam (Clear)

I drilled big holes in front of the on camera microphones, covered them over with Wind jammers and then took it snow boarding. It works great! The audio comes through loud and clear, not too much wind noise, and the camera is protected from crashes and bangs and wet snow. Awesome case and I will buy more as required. I have the original without the microphone holes for snorkeling and it works great for hours at a time in water.

Used this to house my smaller Sony HDR-AZ1 for scuba and anything under water. Works great, just needs a bit of stiff foam on the bottom and sides. Easy to make. No on or off, but the record button can be accessed, but if you're diving, I usually just start before i jump in, and turn off when I surface. The focus works great with the flat front.

i bought this because the one i had before got scratched in a wreck. it protects well. I ran over it once and it came out no worse for wear.

Used in the water a handful of times, rust on both the clip that comes w/ the camera (X3000) and the other components of the housing. See attached photos.

Does its job well, but the metal parts start to rust pretty fast when exposed to salt water.

These housings work well while cave diving to depths of 110 feet. Wiggling the cover a bit to seat it completely has prevented leaks. Really like the ability to control the camera and lock it on hold when I mount it to the right side of my face mask using a custom mount.

Exactly what I needed after looking for a replacement for months, easy dealing.

Fits the Sony FDR-X3000 perfect. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's overpriced. Both these and the gopro cases cost about twice what they should. Just my personal opinion, but if you want/need one, you have very little choice.
