I'm a computer repair technician and I recommend these drives
Now before you go impulsively hit the buy button, there are some caveats. My clients are mostly older, very light computer users. That being said, I mostly sell these and Samsung EVOs and the failure rate of these Inland drives is only slightly higher than that of the EVO. I've installed literally hundreds of these drives and have only had 2-3 come back within the 5 years I've been using them. The write endurance of these drives is higher than most manufacturers and they use the more reliable TLC memory. They're an EXCELLENT value for the money if you're not a heavy computer user. That being said, if you're into video editing, I wouldn't recommend using one of these as a scratch disk / temporary drive. Don't use it in other write intensive applications either. That's not what these drives are designed for. If you're going to be moving files around on a regular basis then know that the performance of these drives is lackluster compared to something like the Samsung EVO. These drives are a HUGE upgrade coming from a hard drive, but they're not meant for people who actually use their computer. There are two types of computer users; those who consume (i.e. watch movies, use social media, browse the internet, etc.) and those who produce (i.e. photo/video editing, music production, CAD design, developer, gaming, storing/organizing large amounts of data, etc.).This is a CONSUMER drive. So long as you use it for its intended purpose, you'll be happy with this drive. If you do more than consume on your computer though, you should really look for something else. I highly recommend the Samsung EVO series for power users and the Samsung PRO series for people who actually create things on their computer. To compare, these Inland drives have a write endurance of 170TBW for the 240GB version. The Samsung EVO 250GB version has a write endurance of 150TBW, but it has DRAM and is significantly faster for power users. The Samsung PRO 250GB version has a write endurance of 600TBW. More expensive computer parts cost more for a reason. You're getting a better quality part that will last longer and perform better. If you're a basic user who just uses their computer to consume, you won't notice a difference between any of these three drives, but if you're a power user and/or creator, then go with the EVO or the PRO. The extra $20 isn't going to break you.

Worked great for one year. Good Warranty.
The drive failed after 1 year but it gets 5 stars for good support.I have been cycling through my HDDs and replacing them with SSDs. The Inland Professional is actually sold by Microcenter. I bought this example through Amazon exactly one year ago this August. It worked great until it failed in early July 2019, DEAD. I looked up Inland Pro site and found it was Microcenter. There is one in St. Louis Park, MN 30 miles to my West. I contacted their Support over CHAT. If avoidable I NEVER contact any support by phone. The session went well, I tried all the tests they suggested. DEAD. I was called back by an RMA clerk, got my number. I got on the USPS web site, setup Priority Mail, paid by credit card, packed it up and shipped it off to Ohio. I received a new drive by Fedex yesterday. The new drive works great so far.I have two gaming laptops, two gaming desktops and a MS Surface Go. All but one of the drives are some form of SSD. Laptop 1 is a 5 year old HP my wife uses. Laptop 2 is a ASUS ROG has an M.2 SSD and a 1 TB HDD. Desktop 1 is several years old AMD FX 8350 I reworked with 4 SSDs, Desktop 2 is just built with 2 M.2 NVME SSD and a M.2 SSD all on the motherboard.I have bought 4 or 5 other SSDs in the last 5 years for other projects. This was the first that has developed any kind of problem.

Crappy quality and worse warranty
This 240GB SSD was either labeled incorrectly and sold as such or it is faulty. In both Windows and macOS, this "240GB" unit reported as a 120gb drive, half of what it should be. Sent it back, not sure what the issue was but QC should have caught this.Update: drive died and it’s been a MONTH and they still haven’t got me a replacement. Garbage, don’t buy!

Works great as a faster disk option for consoles.
Works as advertised. I bought this and a couple of more for my friends to use as external storage for the xbox one. You could use it for other consoles too. For any game that requires lots of loading between maps, it's can cut the time down significantly vs the internal hard drive. I'm seeing a 30 to 40% decrease in loading times. It's important to get an enclosure that has UASP SATA III support to get the most out of the speed benefit of an SSD. I got the $9 Sabrent enclosure (very inexpensive plastic enclosure but it works). (Sabrent 2.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-free External Hard Drive Enclosure [Optimized For SSD, Support UASP SATA III] Black (EC-UASP) )You'll need to connect the SSD to a computer first to intialize the disk and format it. Then you can plug it into the console. The xbox recognized it and asked if I wanted to format it (which you do want to do). Install games on the SSD and you're good to go. Enjoy!
