It works, just not great.
Item needed some heavy modification to fit my existing SM 57 microphone body that this was supposed to be the replacement for. The sound is just okay. the microphone works again, but it's nowhere near the same quality as before. It's now very sensitive to gain and prone to feedback. If you need a cheap way to get up and running again, this will work for you. If you want the original SM57 sound, spend the 10x the cost for the OEM cartridge.

Enough bang for the buck.
Good sound for the money. A good replacement if you are on a budget and have a broken SM57. Installing it was easy.

Great instrument mic
Very nice mic for the money. Using it as an internally mounted accustic instrament mic. Working out very well for that application.

Cheap.
Returned it immediately as it looked cheap as can be...the ends were already bending just by looking at them.
