It's very sharp. Because of it's design, it's easy to possibly nick yourself. Keep in mind, despite that its designed as a novelty item, it is still a blade.

If you look closely when it's opened you will see a long thin bar that kind of acts like a latch. You move it to the side and it allows the blade to be closed. It looks like it's part of the mechanism...but it has a tiny bit of give so that you can move it and it will unblock so you can close the blade. The same type mechanism is on the other side of the dual blade as well.

What state do you deliver to? I'm from NYC and I would love to give this to my husband but hoped this wouldn't be a problem to deliver!?!!
