As it's a protein deep conditioner, does it work well on low porosity hair (4c)? protein is not the best for low p hair apparently

You shouldn’t be using a lot of protein on low porosity hair. Once protein is used on low porosity hair it tends to be locked into the hair for some time. In Low porosity hair there is difficulty getting products into the cuticle & beyond because this hair type is tightly closed. Once you perform techniques to open the cuticle so it can absorb protein & moisture, the hair tends to hold onto it for some time. Unlike high porosity hair which absorbs products & moisture easily & looses them easily. So you must be careful to balance protein with moisture & to avoid using too much protein too often. Too much or too frequent protein treatments can lead to protein overload that cause brittle, fragile hair that breaks. Once per month protein treatments are good for you unless your beautician tells you that you need more protein due to some circumstances. Use products designed for low porosity hair.
