These cartridges are for a very old printer that my grandparents use and are familiar with. It was nice to have ink at a reasonable price so that I don’t have to replace the printer and make them learn how to use it. The ink was recognized by the printer and the print quality is satisfactory to my grandparents.

The Ink seems fine and liked the value for amount. I didn’t like the letter that came afterwards for $20 If I showed proof I provided a five star rating. This is not the first time for a product from Amazon. Necklace, earrings, essential oils. Running belt, or other stuff semi cheaply made. I’ve now stopped using Amazon’s ratings which used to be so helpful. :(

I felt the only thing to do was to trash my rather elderly little combo printer. We really didn't use it for printing any more, because we weren't using the nearby desktop (aged) computer. I did, however, need to send a fax periodically, and when I did, the printer wouldn't fax because it wanted more ink! (Every time! Not a good idea, Brother.) Even though we didn't use the printer for printing, the fact that it would be fed a new cartridge only satisfied it for a while, and it would dry out and register empty. It occurred to me that I could try to find a cheaper alternative to Brother's addiction, because I didn't really want to invest in another machine - and learn to use it. So I tried Kogain's offering, quite a reasonable spend for all that ink. I tried it and like it. I was afraid the quality would not be there and that there would be a messy outcome. But no, it's great. I recommend it.

All the colors but one was recognized by my printer. So this didn't work due me. I spent too much time on trying to get it to work without luck. I guess it's a hit or miss.
