There is something challenging in the book for every skill level. From a handkerchief to an intricate quilt, there is a variety of projects to try out and great sewing tips that you will wish you had learned years ago. You can tell the book was written by someone who knows how to teach people to sew. The gorgeous photos will give you a visual tutorial on how to create modern color and print combinations. Page 76 showcases the "Marcelle Medallion Quilt" which is a mesmerizing piece of work that is a must-see!

Book not complete
This is ridiculous I ordered a replacement as the first book didn't have the Templates in it. The replacement arrives and guess what still no Templates or Patterns in it. It states on Page 8 the pattern sheet is in the back of the book and also states on the back cover that full size Templates are included with graded tissue paper garment patterns. I would like to know where they are as they are not in this book either UPDATE I contacted CT Publishing and explained to them what is happening with these books. They have told me they informed Amazon that the patterns were no longer in the book but you can contact them which I have done and they will send the patterns via email. A lovely book with nice ideas
I confess that I am a Liberty fabricaholic. I have acquired lots of pieces over the years; but I just cannot cut into it! This was where I expected the book to come in. This book is lovely-a book of ideas and background. I was pleased to see that there is more fabic that I can buy! There were some lovely ideas; but I think I'll use different printed fabric as it still couldn't make me use my Liberty! This would be a lovely book to buy for a sewing/quilting friend.

実際見てるだけで嬉しくなる本です。 ですが作り方の写真や絵は少なく文ばかりなのと、キルトやパッチの作品も多く ソーイング初心者の私にはやる気が失せます((笑)英語は読めるのに) 作品は・キルト(パッチ)ラグ ・バッグ(肩掛け、ペタンコ、ポシェット) ・ネクタイ ・犬の首輪 ・コサージュ ・針山 ・ハンカチ ・メガネケース ・おでかけソーイングセットケース ・服(子供のパンツ、幼児&大人用ノースリーブワンピ、チュニック、パパ&キッズシャツ) パッチも素敵だしとても可愛い本ですが 日本の初心者用の本に甘やかされている私にはチャレンジ本です(笑)
