Best buy I could find. This product has definitely helped my memory! I could tell a difference within a day or so of taking the first pill. Hopefully it won’t plateau, but I’m definitely doing better remembering things, which is a blessing.

Why isn't the product sold without the daily minder? I did find that it worked, helping this 70 yr old remember better. However, the product isn't sold at my grocery store, nor discount store, and Amazon only has various quantities all coming with the pill minder. It is tasteless, easy to swallow, and after about 2 weeks, I found older memories coming back, as well as my problem solving skills sharpening up. I just wish it was more widely distributed and offered in larger quantities without a pill minder.

I am a 60 year old substitute teacher. I had always had a remarkable memory; even being able to remember numbers (i.e., telephone, social security, etc.). I have a relatively high IQ and somewhat eidetic memory. I was an honor student all through school & ALWAYS made 100%, or more with bonus & extra credit grades.After 45, I started having trouble recalling certain words--sometimes, I would chose the wrong word, or two words; but, they would begin with the correct letters. Then, I began having trouble remembering passwords, telephone numbers, etc. I thought it might be the menopause I was experiencing at age 42-?.I begin forgetting what happened the week b4; then, the day b4. I began telling my children the same story over and over again. I remember when my Mom did this 2 me when I was younger. It caused me 2 withdraw from everyone bc I was embarrassed 2 b so decrepit & incompetent, which is so opposite from the uber-competent person from the past. B4 this I NEVER took a shopping list 2 the store; but, now, I could not go shopping without making a written list & then, half the time, I 4got 2 look at it & still 4got 2 get items I needed.I researched Alzheimer's testing facilities where I live. I scheduled an appointment and was tested. I couldn’t believe how anxious and nervous I felt b4 and during the testing. I couldn’t count backward from 100 by threes. I missed silly questions that I should have gotten. I used 2 remember every student’s name that I ever taught; but, now, I couldn’t remember student’s names five minutes after they told me. Also, I was a savant with English grammar & spelling (I won numerous spelling bees in school & was in many plays with almost no problems memorizing my dialogue. Also, I would memorize any subject’s text & be able 2 regurgitate it onto the test paper verbatim, as well as orally reciting verbatim.)I researched memory supplements and read about Prevagen D. I thought I would give Prevagen a shot.SIDE EFFECTS I EXPERIENCED:Memory Improvement: I did start having better memory. I felt better about myself & more competent. B4, I could not go shopping without making a written list. Now, I could remember almost everything that was on my list--like b4.Vivid dreams: I started having vivid dreams--some explicit, sexual dreams. I could remember incredible details; such as colors, textures, smells, temperatures, sounds and my feelings.Sleep Disorder: I have had sleep apnea & sleep walking 4 as long as I can remember. I use a CPAP machine at night. I still use that. Now, after taking the Prevagen D, I am awakened in a frightened mood bc I’m terrified of the dream I was having of some danger & could SWEAR it was really happening 2 me.Depression: I was extremely depressed at the loss of my intelligence and quick wit. I did feel a bit better about myself; but, still very guarded and anxious and fearful. I feel incompetent--when I always was the BEST at everything that I ever tried!Aversion 2 conversing with anyone: I have become quite the hermit--withdrawing from all my family & friends bc I was embarrassed bc I would hesitate--fishing 4 the right words to say. Also, my extensive & dynamic vocabulary eluded me most of the time; so, I just stopped talking 2 people. Also, my kids started telling me that I had already told them whatever I was saying 2 them.Now, I still shy away from conversations with most people; but, I am remembering more words & myMaybe the positive results R a result of the placebo effect; but, there is no reality--only perception. It seems like both of us feel more confident when we take this.UPDATE: The price has increased to $1.07 (lowest price on Amazon) per supplement capsule; so, I told my hubby that I was thinking about NOT reordering bc of the price increase. My hubby can tell an improvement in his short-term memory, 2; so, he said 2 reorder them & we’d just take Mon-Fri.PRO's:Seems 2 have a marked improvement in memory & confidence.CON's':Price is cost prohibitive (Amazon has several prices 4 Prevagen). This one was the best price that I found on Amazon ($1.07 per supplement capsule).

Drugs don’t affect everyone the same. My husband and I decided to try this. I actually became fuzzy headed and felt disoriented after I took this for about a week so I quit and the fuzziness went away. He is still taking it and hasn’t noticed a difference after one month but we will wait and see. He is willing to keep giving it a try.
