The size and shape are just fine. This was mounted in the shower. Because there are no holes in the glass soap holder, too much water settles in the dish.

The tray is too small for a large bar of soap. Not really anything wrong per se. Just wish they made a larger version.

Wish it weren't glass
Not easy to find soap dishes that look good and are screwed into bumpy tiles. Almost all have suction cups which will not adhere to some surfaces. This higher quality item screws in, but is made of glass and my very real fear is that someone will remove the insert and drop it in the shower. Looks nice, but scares me.

Great for small spaces & easy to clean. Glass bowl sits in loop snug enough
Screws in wall like regular bathroom accessories. The lip around the base has a sturdy band that the glass bowl fits in. Lifts out easily for cleaning. I placed mine directly above faucet to cover a previous accessory hole in the tile. I have bumped it but never dislodged completely. Looks great with my other accessories.

Very easy to mount!
Very easy to mount and it holds a small bar of soap rather than the larger, more traditional bars of soap. Any decorative soap will do just fine! Make sure to take the glass tray off once in awhile to clean the soap residue off because it can get pretty grimy due to the shape and lack of drainage.
