Rhodia Staplebound Notepads - Blank 80 sheets - 6 x 8 1/4 inch - Black cover

Great for fountain pens. Bought this cause I like sketching with my Lamy safari (fine nib) and needed good blank paper for it. I'm currently using proprietary Lamy black cartridges and the ink works well on the paper.My biggest complaint is I wish Rhodia made a blank 8×6 spiral bound notebook instead of only staple bound 6×8 blank notepads, but the quality of this product is top notch. The pen glides over it smoothly, no feathering, and very little ink is visible on the other side of the paper unless you really lay it on heavy. Definitely thinner than my clairfontaine notebook paper, but this paper feels really buttery to write or draw on. You may have more issues with bleeding to the other sheets if you're using a larger nib. So probably best with something no larger than a fine European nib. The dry time is a little long too because of how smooth this is, so I'd avoid medium or broad nibs because the dry time would be too long and you'd be at higher risk of smudges.If you want a lightweight, portable, blank pad for use with fountain pens, this is a great choice!

I like this pad quite a bit. The fold-able cover is fairly decent and stays behind without much of a fight. The paper tears out cleanly but not accidentally. There isn't too much bleed through, even with a wet pen, slow hand, and fast-wicking inks like Noodler's Fox Red. The reviews I've seen on other sites talking about how long it takes for ink to dry on this paper don't seem to be an issue for me - it's accepted and sucked up most of the inks I've given it without any real issue. 10-15 seconds after I draw, my art stays put. The only exception to this was when my parrot decided to lick the page (yeah, parrots have tongues....they like to lick things....not sure why) and smeared a couple lines.My one complaint is that the paper is rather thin and fairly delicate. It works great when drawing on dry paper, but the moment you try to do fill or shading with ink, it tends to roughen up pretty easily and shred. It's not insanely bad, but it does make it hard to do certain types of art with it. The reason I'm not knocking off a star is because I do recognize this is an artifact of how I do art and not necessarily something wrong with the paper.

I like this product because my brush pens do not get damaged or frayed when I am writing/drawing on this paper, unlike normal paper. It is nice because you can rip out the pieces of paper easily and it comes out in a straight line. However, the paper is very thin, so when you are using a marker over and over again in the same spot, it will bleed through the thin paper.

Smooth paper that still has enough tooth for pencil and felt tip writing. Does an excellent job with fountain pens: you get a crisp line, and it dries reasonably quickly. There's very little bleed-through of ink to the back of the sheet, and I've never had it stain the next sheet due to the ink bleeding through.Perforations at the top of the sheet really work: get an easy, clean tear if you want to remove a sheet, and you won't notice them if you don't.

I've been looking for a paper for fountain pen sketching. This is bright white and very smooth. Just enough tooth to feel the pen. There is no feathering. The lines look crisp and black. Paper is thin and heavy lines show on the back side but no ink on the next page.

I love this paper. It is glass dip pen friendlay as a glass dip pen uses a lot of ink. And of course this paper is awesome for my fountain pen also. I will continue to order and use this paper.

I know the product well. The cover had many indentations on it, as if someone had been writing and doodling on paper on top of it. Otherwise, the pad was in good condition.

This is one of my favorite notebooks. The paper is the perfect thickness.

Le produit en lui-même semble être de bonne qualité mais il est arrivé dans une enveloppe Amazon en très mauvais état, le produit à l'intérieur était corné sur la partie basse. Je pense que l'emballage n'est pas adapté du tout.
