This stuff just works! There are no side effects that I've noticed after several months of taking it. I have not had a single flare up since I started. I was in a bad flare when I started and this helped to calm everything down faster too.

The only thing that keeps my husband from getting gout. I’ve tried to take it out of his regimen twice only for him to have a flair up. It works!

I’m going to change my review on this because my doctor pointed out that gout is not high Uric acid levels in your blood but precipitation of that acid in your joints. Obviously, you need the acid in the blood to get it into the joints. But preventing it from crystallizing in the joints is what prevents gout. And this product does seem to do that. While my blood Uric acid level remains a bit high, I have had no more gout episodes for getting on eighteen months now. ———- Original Review ————— I have taken two of these in the morning and two in the evening every day for a year now. A year ago, a lab test found my Blood Uric Acid level was 9.4. My latest test after taking this twice a day for a year is 9.1. (Normal is less than 7.5). A change of 0.3 is worthless and statistically insignificant, about 3%. This is likely not much more than the error of the test itself. This stuff is expensive and it did nothing.

I can say enough about how great this product is. I was not taking it daily for maintenance to avoid gout, but I felt like an episode of gout was coming on ( always starts in my right big toe), and I took 2 pills right away, then took another 2 pills 8 hours later and the next day I was basically back to normal. I have started taking the recommended maintenance dose daily and have not any problems at all with gout!! I put this on auto ship so never run out!
