Diabetic Cat, Vet just diagnosed her, I wanted to try a more Holistic Approach...
I just took my cat to vet a week ago, since she was drinking a lot more water, (For almost a minute straight) and her litter box was filling up a lot faster with urine. My vet ran a Mini profile for $60 and a Thyroid test for $45. She is 10 years old, 11lbs. I had just switched her, a few weeks prior, to Rachel Roy dry cat food from the local grocery store that had no wheat, corn, soy, animal by-products or fillers. That was a mistake, though I thought the ingredients were good for her. I think the switch to this food created this high glucose issue. My vet showed me the test results and the actual vial, 80% of it was filled with a white fat like bacon grease! He explained that dry cat food I was giving her was loaded with fats and not good for her. So he runs the test and tells me that she may be diabetic, which may be food induced. He stated that most of his clients that have cats with diabetes do very well with Purina DM dry food for cats that they also sell there at the vet office. After I bought the dry cat food from the vet, which was very pricey, I started researching this product and dried cat food altogether. I read online about how cats with diabetes should NOT have dry foods, as this is not good for them and the so called RX brands are very costly. My vet wanted me to start the Purina DM dry cat food and have my buy insulin for her. I did not want to do this, as I was thinking this was just caught in time, her excessive drinking and peeing had just started. He gave her a shot of insulin to stabilize her blood sugar a bit. I told him I am going to try the food switch to see if it helps before committing to me having to draw her blood daily and inject her with insulin. I'm all for natural holistic alternatives, if safe. He ok'd me doing this. I knew I had 2 weeks before I had to go back for a Glucose check. I researched cat diabetes more...here is an update: I was praying to god that this would help: After reading reviews, I chose Fancy Feast Classic wet canned food. I started with the chicken and the also the turkey, as they are easier on the stomach for the switch. I slowly introduced it to her, this is very important as cats stomachs cannot handle a fast change with food. I used 1/2 of her normal cat food with 1/3 can of the Fancy Feast Classic before I received the Blood Sugar Gold. I did this for approx 5-6 days. On day 7, I then went to 1/3 of her regular dry cat food and 1/2 of a can of Fancy Feast Wet canned food with 2 drops in the am only of the Blood Sugar Gold. (Make sure to shake it well, as there is settlement towards the bottom). I wanted to slowly introduce her to this as well. I did this for 3 days to make sure her stomach is ok. On day 10, I went to 1/2 a can of Fancy Feast Classic in the am, along with 2 drops of the Blood Sugar Gold. (I keep track of her feeding times on a schedule, since I work from my home office.) I feed her 1/2 a can every 4 hours. Make sure to put a cover on it and refrigerate it, as it can spoil if you leave it out. Example: 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm. I then give her 1/3 of a new can at midnight as a snack. So, at 11-12lbs, she is getting a total of 2 1/3 cans of food. I'm only using 2 drops of the Blood Sugar Gold in the am now. This seems to work for her. Stay away from the dry cat food. My vet prescribed it and I bought it from him, then I got home and read about cats and how they are not meant to eat dry cat foods. My cat's onset Diabetes was food induced from the dry cat food. But I caught it early, when she hovered over her water bowl and started drinking for over 1 minute straight. She peed a lot more as well. Thank god I read about cats, diabetes, dry cat food and came across this product on Amazon. Just google "Cat diabetes". Also, the wet canned cat food, has a lot of water in it. You will notice your cat will not drink as much water once you switch from dry food to wet. Your cat will urinate less as well. Just keep an eye on your pet and KEEP TRACK of the food you give her, the times, the amount of urine and poop. This way you can monitor what is working. Hope this helps.

Great Supplement That Works !
Blood Sugar GOLD really works. I've been giving this herbal supplement to my dog for more than 6 weeks and she's doing well. Since she started taking the Blood Sugar Gold she is not hungry and thirsty all the time, so therefore she is not constantly peeing like she was doing 6 weeks ago. She can hold her urine 6 - 8 hours during the night until the next morning. I give her 2 droppers full twice a day, even though the label indicates that she's only suppose to get 1- 1/2 droppers twice a day. I find that the 2 droppers twice a day works better for her. After starting her on a grain free diet (PAWZ and Taste Of The Wild kibbles mixed with some can dog food) that's when I noticed the changes. I also decreased the treats to only at night before bed. I give her a 1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt and mix it with the supplement at night. She only get chicken jerky or boiled chicken breast for her treats and she usually gets that at night with the yogurt. Overall, she's doing well with the supplement and the diet changes. She's not on any insulin she's only taking Blood Sugar Gold. It doesn't work overnight but it does work. Patience is the key. The only issue that I have is the $$$ for a 4oz bottle. I think it's expensive for the amount you get in the bottle. I would feel better about the price if the bottle was 6-8 oz. I purchased a 4oz bottle of Primalix Blood-Sugar BALANCE herbal extract for dogs and cats for only $41 and it has all of the ingredients that's in Blood Sugar Gold. I'm going to try that one next to see if works like this supplement.

Works as advertised
Worked for a couple of weeks but the diabetes was advanced to the need for insulin. There was no problem taking the drops as directed.

So far so good!
My big girl Teri has been diagnosed as pre-diabetic. At 14, she was drinking a ton, eating like crazy, yet not gaining weight. I suspected she's gone into full blown diabetes. She was sleeping a ton, her eyes had dulled. I found these drops and figured, I would give them a whirl. Seeing as I have two cats, they both get them. I put 7 drops on each food serving they get at night. Tori is due to hit the vet for more blood work and I believe it's going to show her sugar levels have dropped to normal. The only change to her diet has been the addition of these drops. She's already on a low carb, high protein diet. She's eating, active, alert and more social than she's been in a long time. I have to give credit to the drops for aiding her. This is my experience. It might not be the same for everyone.

Great stuff!
I have a little pomeranian who were showing signs of diabetes. I had a Lhasa Apso who had diabetes and I gave him shots everyday for 3 years before he finally passed. I noticed my palm was drinking a lot of water which was the first thing I noticed with my lhasa. now I don't normally give a review on something like this but I felt I had to with this stuff. within two days my father was back to normal with no sign of diabetes. And she also love the taste of this stuff. it smells horrible to me but she wants to lick it right off the dropper. And no shots which is the best thing of all. This isn't my recommendation for any dog but my own. It worked for her without the insulin.

It is working great. We give it to him before he eats ...
Our min pin was diagnosed with diabetes over a month ago. Our fault for feeding him way to much. He lost a lot of weight which is why we knew something was wrong. The vet said he needed insulin. We did not want to do insulin shots so we saw some other reviews on this product and tried it. It is working great. We give it to him before he eats in the morning at 6:30 am and evening at 4:30 pm. Same time every day. He does not like the taste and will try to hold his mouth shut but has gotten better at taking it since he knows he will get to eat right after. We did have to switch to the little Caesars and diabetic canned dog food from blue buffalo dry dog food to get him to eat. We give him little Caesars in the morning and 1/2 cup of diabetic dog food in the evening. Plus he gets 1 or 2 healthy treats sometime throughout the day. I would recommend trying this before insulin shots. It did take close to a week for his system to straighten out. He would get the shivers and I would put a little Kayro syrup around the top of his gums. That went away after his system straightened out. Now he gobbles his dog food up and has been keeping his weight steady.

It helped my dog
I purchased this for my pitlab mix. I wanted to wait a few weeks before writing a review to make sure the results I was getting were real. A few months ago. He started leaking urine randomly, lots of accidents and drinking lots and lots of water mind you is 14 going on 15. I took him to the vet they told me he was borderline diabetic ad he could take insulin. When they told me the cost I was a little shocked so I decided to do a little research online if there was a supplement or something else out there. I came across this product. I decided to order it and give it a try. After 2 weeks of use I'm surprised how well it worked. The leaking urination, the excess drinking of water has stopped, his coat is soft again. Now he is back to normal in that he let's me know when he needs to go to the bathroom like he use to. I was skeptical at first but it has helped my dog. A few side notes that I notes that make take longer than a few weeks to see the full effect 1. Cloudy eyes are clearing up a little bit. I thought they were cataracts but found that diabetes can cause. 2. Weight gain, In his prime he weighted 66-70lbs. When I weighted before starting this he was 55lbs. He's always had the same appetite. Now he's up to 57- 58lbs. Also he's not a fan of of the flavor I do manage to get him to take it fairly easy though. I will buy this again for my dog. Overall this has definitely helped my dog get back to normal. I would recommend it giving this a chance if your dog. I know every dog is different and has unique situations so it may or may not help but I give it a chance

Transformed my cat!
Absolutely certain this product has saved my oriental cat from insulin dependence. I tried this as a last resort before starting him on insulin and can genuinely say it’s completely transformed him. He is putting on weight, playing and Happy again and no longer sits my his water bowl all day. 100% recommend this product.
