Fun, way more than just a trike
My little one loves this trike! He is 3 years old, and about 43 inches high. He is able to reach the pedals perfectly with the seat on the closest setting. He's had it for about a week, and is almost never off of it. When he got it for his birthday, he scooted around in the house until he got used to the pedals, and that was his seat for watching his cartoons. There are so many interactive functions on the 'dashboard' that it kept him busy for a long time. It does need to be assembled, and requires a hammer to do so. The assembly was pretty easy though, and didn't take forever. Just by nature of having this kind of bike, the tires do slip on concrete because they're plastic. This doesn't seem to slow him down much though. Me and my son are pretty happy about his bat trike.

Quality Bike for Reasonable Price
We purchased this bike for our son's 3rd birthday and he loves it! He loves the lights and sounds and he pretends to be Batman while riding it. I love the variety of sounds that it makes, because as much as our son and daughter push the buttons, it would be annoying for the same sound over and over. The pedals seem to be the perfect distance away for his height, and I love that the seat has three positions to adjust as he grows. It was very easy to put together, only took my husband between 15 and 20 minutes. It also seems to be quite sturdy and has held up very well so far. I would recommend this product for any little boy or girl who loves superheros and needs a bike!

Great trike!
I'll start by saying that my point of comparison is to the trike I bought for my daughter, the Radio Flyer with a push handle. This trike is for my nephew. There are things I like better about this trike, and things I like better about the other one.The negatives:- This trike is made in Mexico and China vs. here in the USA and I like to support US jobs.- The frame is made of plastic which won't last as long as the steel Radio Flyer.- This trike was slightly harder to put together than the Radio Flyer because the hub bar is recessed into the thick back wheels and this makes it hard to hammer on with force and accuracy. I'm not 100% confident that we got the hub on as tight as we could have. I had no such issue with the Radio Flyer we put together for my daughter.- The screws didn't want to screw in, we had to use a lot of force and pressure to keep from stripping them out.- The stickers are tacky...and for me there are too many of them. I'm not a big fan of outdoor-use toys with stickers. Paint doesn't fade the way stickers do. I think they went overboard with little batmans all over this thing. I left a couple off in places I know will get worn away, like just behind the childs foot on the fender. That's of course a personal taste issue.- This trike has plastic wheels vs. the rubber wheels on the other one. This means it doesn't grip very well. It rolls ok in the house, but sometimes she spins out. This will only get worse as the child is moved to the lower "big wheel" type position. I'm not sure how this will effect operation outside, and learning progress.- The storage compartment is tiny and the door constantly falls off...and we just opened it! I imagine my nephew will lose it. It's the little blue dome on the top of the handle bar area.- Can't attach a basket to this style trike. The way the front end is made it's too bulky and without a fender a basket would likely rub even if you could devise a way to put one on it. For me this would have been a problem, especially in light of the tiny faulty storage compartment. No way for him to bring along his "Monk-monk".- No way to store a water bottle, and no place to attach a water bottle holder. (We like to go down the rail trail, so having a water is a must on hot summer days.)- It seems a bit wobbly. I'm not sure if that would be remedied if we could get the hub on tighter.- The sounds are cool, but they do need batteries and I'm sure eventually they'll have to be replaced. I like the option of using an old fashioned bell. The positives:+ Despite the screws and the hub the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It didn't take me and my 16 year old son long to put this together.+ Despite the bazillion stickers they were easy to place, and I had no issues. The extra stickers can be used on something else, like an art project.+ This trike is VERY light weight since it's plastic. This means not only is it easy to move around (throw in the car, put away, etc.), but it's also actually easier for my daughter to move with the pedals. (She tested it out for her cousin) She's 3 and very small for her age, but she's just able to reach the pedals if she leans back. He's a big guy, so this trike will be great for him, and it should last him for a few years.+ She loves the sounds it makes. It has a song she plays by pressing a button which she was just boogying down to. It also actually teaches left and right in a way, since the blinker arrows say "Moving left" and "Moving right".+ The adjustable seat is great, and it becomes the nostalgic big wheel style trike we all had as kids. They were smart to make the seat sit higher for the little ones so that they have more leverage to be able to move the trike and to compensate for the less grippy wheels while they are learning. In summary, I really like this trike. If I'd had to buy a trike for him first I might have bought her the same one...maybe. The price was a little higher than I feel the workmanship deserves, especially since it's not made here. I only paid $15 more for the steel, USA made trike with rubber tires. That said I did buy a bell for her trike, which was an extra cost. The sound is built in, which might help even it out a bit. I paid $5 for the bell. I also bought her a very nice basket so she can bring toys and a cup along for her rides. (+$10) This is an extra cost, but it's not even an option for this trike. If the storage compartment was a bit bigger I wouldn't have an issue with that, and would consider the cost to be fair at that point. In the end, I am happy with both of my purchases. I know my daughter will get many years of use out of her trike, but my nephew will have a lot of fun with this trike and I don't expect it to break before he outgrows it (I hope). It's not an heirloom quality trike, but it gets the job done and is a lot of fun.

3 year old Birthday Present
My son loves Batman and we wanted to get him a learning bike with Batman on it. This was a very popular item that kept popping up. I was a little weary at some of the reviews and worried that it would be really dinky or too small. This was not the case...yes it is plastic but it is pretty strong, especially in the parts it needs to be. My son pedals great on it and everything works. One down side - the lid on the storage cubby on the top does pop right off - which I did read in a review. The compartment is really small and really can't hold much anyways - my son is more occupied by all the cool buttons. If you have doubts - really it is a great bike!

Cool little bat cycle!
We got this for my grandson and he loves it! He is 4 but he's a small 4 so it is perfect for him. If you have a larger child, you may want to make sure he will be comfortable and you will get the use out of it you expect. There are a lot of pieces so make sure you have time to put it together if getting it for a special occasion. We got it for a birthday, waited until the night before to put it together and it took way longer than we expected. Other than that, it is really cool, he loved the batman theme. It is reminiscent of the big wheels that we gifted when my kids were young. I would recommend this for your little one!
