Just what the Doctor ordered
Love these type of filters as they are way easier to change the screw on and they are stackable if need be.

Well Beyond Any Expectations.
A brilliant bit of kit, if it wasn't I'd be the first to say. I bought the P size and use it with the 72mm adapter ring as a rule, but I do have a full set of rings and will be using it on other lenses as well and any problems I will edit my post accordingly. In the past I have had a magenta cast when using Cokin filters, although this is very easily edited out in post, but there was no cast at all with this filter. I also had no problems at all fitting it into my Cokin P holder with a polariser behind it and a 2stop grad in front. I didn't get the rubber seal with my P size, but reading the literature these are only supplied with the Z and L sizes but I didn't need it anyway. I'm so pleased with it that for the first time ever I'm putting a photo with my review. Rhyl beach in the midday sun on a glorious clear autumnal day.

Superb quality glass. No foam gasket on 85mm version
So to start off this review. I am a experienced amateur photograper, who has a good knowledge of most techniques in photography.I currently use a m4/3rds lumix GH3 CSC. Which I have found to give astonishingly good quality in a reasonable size. It is because of the smaller format that I only require the 85mm version of this filter. At first I was going to buy a Lee big stopper, as this is the one that everyone raves about, but after trying a friends, i must say I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong it was a quality product, but it did leave a blue colour cast on the pictures. In most cases this could be removed but I did think it was a bit of a let down. The other thing that I didnt like was that Lee only make a 75mm or 100mm version. 75mm being a bit small at ultra wide end and 100mm being a bit big. At this point I decided to look around for an 85mm alternative. I have used Cokin resin filters before and found them good value for money but I had never tried a cokin glass filter. After doing some research i decided to buy the Nuances 10stop and I must say I am so pleased that I did. It really is a quality piece of glass. Superb clarity and almost zero cast. In fact in most shots i dont have to remove cast at all. Personally I think easily as good as Lee and in 85mm which is important for me.So why only 4 stars... well on the description it says it comes with a foam gasket, this is to prevent light bleed from the sides of the filter. Unfortunately what the description didn't say was that the gasket only came on the larger filter 100mm and above. How ridiculous is that! Why would you not need a gasket on a smaller filter? After all you are using them for the exact same purpose and light bleed will be just as obvious on the 85mm as the 100mm. I must say I was annoyed that it wasn't made clear that the 85mm version did not have a gasket. In the end i have managed to make my own out of some very thin foam and tape... it looks fine and seems to work ok. It hasn't put me off Cokin Nuances, it still is a brilliant filter and I am going to buy a 5 stop next. Just don't expect a gasket on the smaller sizes.

Highly recommended, better the LEE or NISI
Highly recommended filter, I already own the 10 stop but wanted something for waterfall photography in a dark woodland location so I placed an order for this. Really happy with the results. Many companies claim that their filters are free from colour casting however this is normally untrue. Cheaper filters almost always have a strong cast, LEE filters have a blue/green cast but in the case of this Cokin filter all I could see when pixel peeping was a VERY slight pinkish cast which can actually add to an image when dealing with sunlight. As with the 10 stop this is shipped with a foam ring which is a simple but effective way stop any light leaks getting through when taking a long exposure, although simple I've found this method to be much more effective than the system used on the more expensive NISI filters - however the foam ring is easy to lose and near impossible to order a replacement unless you order a whole new filter.I've attached some images taken with filter when filming a recent vlog and I'm looking forward to using it on a coastal trip in the near future to capture some seascapes.

I find this to be excellent quality. No complaints
I am fairly new to using ND filters so couldn't justify the outlay on a set of Lee filters. I am really pleased with this though and bought this, the ND Grad kit and the full ND kit, a 77mm and 82mm adapter ring for less than the Lee Big stopper glass alone. Are they as good as Lee? Probably not however to be honest I cant really see much difference when compared to my friends pictures of the same scene (who has the Lee big and little stoppers). It comes in a really nice box with a protective pouch inside and a foam ring to fit inside the adapter to stop light leakage.Im really looking forward to giving this a proper run out in the next few months!

Fantastic, you get what you pay for.
I love this filter. A 10 stop filter allows for long shutter speeds which blurs motion, be that clouds, water or people. I live near the coast and so using this filter gives images of the sea a strange ethereal look which I really like. The filter has no noticeable colour cast which can't be said for all filters and this makes setting your white-balance much easier. My only complaint is that this filter only fits in the middle slot of the stock cokin p series filter holder. This is the seventh Cokin filter I have bought now and the quality has always been outstanding I would definitely recommend getting this to really give your landscape photography a boost.
